small ball poker

I HAVE checked out his PTR, watched him play, etc. He plays like a monkey. I never said it was luck, I just think the way he plays is gross. I've never played HSNL HU poker before, but I do watch it a lot, and I have seen him make very many 'WTF' plays. Plays that are just completely nonsensical. He is willing to play for stacks very, very light, and I just don't see him as a balanced player or a long time winner in those games. No big deal. I have incredible respect for his tournament game, and enjoy his strategy articles in BLUFF. I'm not the only one who feels this way, I've seen his opponents talk about how bad he is in chat as well. So I may or may not know my stuff, according to you, but I'm ok with that.

ike makes a lot of wtf plays too. he hasn't been seen playing lately and when he does, he doesn't get any action. but zeejustin does because of his tournament reputation. makes you wonder though...

yea its nitty because hes always going to have tptk there. the turn card is bad card to bluff and daniel knows that so most of the time whenever he bets its going to be for value but if he checks it could look like hes giving up also theres a decent chance runthistable is just floating so daniel gives him the green light. also once he checks the turn he cant really raise and expect worse to call so he has to just check call. obviously its not great when he has AJ but daniel is thinking about his whole range.

yeah what jinzerd said. maybe he'd also c/r river if the 8 didn't pair, but given that DN could have that somewhat often by c/calling the turn it's overrepping his hand and he'd have a hard getting paid off by worse,

also my guess would be that he had 99-QQ in that hand vs ashman, never know though, maybe he folded AJ. really tired, but i can't imagine there being that much of a difference between JJ and AJ in relative hand strength by the time ashman ships the river.

I totally agree with this, but as someone who has continually seen him win and have played him I can't imagine that he isnt very good at other aspects of poker to make up for his terrible overall preflop and flop play.
