I'm normally the first to berate people who pick up the second the weak player at the table leaves and almost always keep playing for a bit longer. But this is different because Daniel knows full well what's going on: he's not some idiot. He sits down, a game runs and a waiting list starts up. He even jokes about how he deserves Employee of the Month for rejuvenating the 100/200 NL games.

So it's not like Daniel is some fish whose feelings we need to protect or who's going to quit: he's a competitive professional poker player who's trying to work on his game (and, fwiw, I think is nowhere near as bad as most people jumping up massively in stakes to play him think he is)

The 99 hand he played today ?

He may not be as bad as some people think but its pretty obvious he is nowhere near good enough to be playing 100/200 online.

this 99 hand isn't butchered by any stretch. he decided to slowplay the flop which, when you're super deep can be a great play because if the board runs down safe then you can get your opponents to misread your hand and run big bluffs when you can't have better than a 9. the turn a check/raise would be bad because CTS probably folds all 1-pair hands and while I think DN should c/r the river I don't have any idea how he and cts play against each other and, if they've been insanely in line against each other, I can imagine CTS might only bet three streets and call a river c/r w/a straight this deep

I think without knowing their history, it is perfectly ok that he decides to slowplay. Not raising river is funny tho, and I obv think that's the street he misclicked.

Re: **** March High Stakes Thread ****

seems to be a trend with DN (summed up with this weeks HSP) hes so willing to bloat pots with mediocre hands. Then does the COMPLETE opposite when he hits. Obv ran into top of certain peoples range alot but didnt max value one bit when he had the goods

Re: **** March High Stakes Thread ****

I wish there were special replay tables, so that we could watch after with the holecards.
That would be sick.
DN could learn how his opponents play and see how he did, the high stakes regs might sit down anyway because of their perceived edge and we would have rail heaven.
