To think that I've been using the bumpy call all this time.

This works especially well in Limit Holdem.

I know this will get Gavin flamed up good, but I tried it once heads up and it actually kinda worked pretty well. Also, I think Gavin plays pretty well and makes some sick reads, so maybe he can do it better than a typical player?

Too much aggression these days in poker.

Obviously the best way to counter this is to flat call every chance u get

Always nice to see the classics appear again in NVG.

I know - it's shocking. How can they not include strategy good enough to impress the average 2+2er in a whisky ad?

Most of the times I've seen Gavin play on TV he plays better than anyone at the table (even when drunk).

This is just him giving some superficial advice for a booze company, who cares?

Flatbarrelling > Flatcalling.

Hilarious! I love to hear the odd poker theories from other players, but to hear an entire strategy summed up into one word ("Call.") takes the cake.

Step 1: Flat call
Step 2: Pop 'em on the river
Step 3: ???
Step 4: Profit

flat call in position can be annoying to play against, but not for the reason that fat guy listed.

isnt this just calling to see the flop in hopes of catching something?

personally why bother playing rediculous hands like 83 Off when not towards the end of the tournament or when your in BB?
especially if people are limping in?
