Dont' ask. Seriously, some stuff is best not being known. There have been multiple reports of people wishing they never seen it, and that's enough for me.

I know a few years ago when the video of that soldier being beheaded in Iraq was on the internet a friend of mine watched it and said he had nightmares for 3 nights afterwards. He truly regretted seeing it, and he didn't think it was all that much of a big deal, but he said when he laid there in bed at night he couldn't stop thinking about it.

So yeah, I'm ok with not experiencing some things in this world. Watching psychotic killer videos is one thing I don't mind being a noob at.

My conclusion is very avid hunters share some of the same characteristics as these serial killers but they either have the discipline not to make the leap up to humans or have no desire, animals do the trick.. I used to hunt on occasion "Quit btw" when younger and you do almost exactly what these guys do except to animals. I talking Teg Nugent types not the once a year elk hunt crowd.

I have no desire to watch a video of a man slay another man. The fact that this video has become the most sought after video on the internet repulses me. I am not surprised though. The sites that post these videos claim that looking at this kind of material uncovers truths we wouldn't know about in regards to seeing death and gore. In my opinion, that's BS. As some one who has seen death in what I would consider pretty horrible ways, watching something on the internet takes all the real emotion of the moment out of scene. I don't wish the real feeling of a tragic scene on anyone. It seems like people forget that they are looking at another person. I am not saying everyone does this but comments left on these videos and pictures would suggest it.

What I do feel is profound sadness that a young man from China lost his life and that people can watch this video and forget they are looking at a real human being. I have read some of the comments left on the sites and some are just .... I can't describe.
My heart goes out for the family of the slain man. Because of our insatiable appetite for grotesque gore, they are victims to the ugly side of Canadian culture and freedoms. If it was my son in that video and I saw how it became a media sensation, I don't know how I would respond. I can't even fathom.
