Can't wait to see them battling at the 1c/2c cash game tables...

Just to keep everyone posted, it was an interesting night for the Pokerstars pros yesterday. Despite running up an early stack in the micromillions 2-7 TD and looking at a steady two figure score, Pye Face ran into a wheel twice and busted. A better night for GJ Reggie though, who ground out an $8 cash. There was some drama and confusion though for Reggie, who in a hand just before the bubble, patted her 8-6 and her opponent drew one. She thought she had lost as her opponent made 23456, but someone from her chat told her that he had actually made a straight.

Show some respect for moneymaker. The man's missed flush bluff heads up was the reason I was able to save a deposit for my house why back when. Of course I'm still in negative equity on that home.

I was amused how the next day one hid themselves from player search, which makes Pokerstars sponsoring them even more pointless, as they are sponsoring a player for publicity who plays hidden and refuses to engage in the publicity.

Sponsored mediocre microstakes streamers and almost worthless rewards chests, what will Pokerstars come up with next to attract players?

Liv and Igor seem like two of the good people in poker. Congrats for their longstanding sponsorship and all the best for their lives post-Stars.

Is she the same woman that was tutored by erik seidel, binked a tourney and then wrote a book on poker in the span of two years?

I'm going with Party. Gonna fire 100 bullets at these high roller bounty turbos while whining about variance as I punt my chiplead hunting a $47 bounty.

Wow, a book in 2020. Who reads poker books in this decade let alone the next?

she is a writer with a Ph.D. in psychology and she already published two books so i'm pretty sure she knows what she's doing.

Resigning? Their contracts were up and one party or the other (likely Stars) chose not to renew.

As Pokerstars is economising like mad, they will be cutting contracts with the pros that are costing Pokerstars too much to sponsor.

Maria Konnikova's recent results over the last year have been min cash level, so I guess the site think it is not business sense to keep paying her entry fees or be associated with a not particularly successful player.

That is how it goes, sign up promising players, then dump them if the promise fails to expand, as she had some good results a while back.

In fact, it is hard to think of any winning pros that get dropped, just the losing ones amicably end their relationship with the site, and the site and player thank each other for a great time together.

Nope. Her value to the company has very little to do with results (although they obv help). She is mainstream writer that reaches a large non-poker audience. Her foray into the game, her aforementioned books about poker etc are not aimed at poker players but to add credibility to the game and company by association.

Obviously if she wins that's great because she has more content and adds extra legitimacy, but it's not crucial to her keeping her partnership.
