Er no, no one says it anymore because it's 2-3 years old and wasn't that funny in the first place. I think Howard was referring to Gobbo's obesity and rudeness after slating the very pros he was after sponsorship from. As if FTP are going to sponsor him when he trashes Gus Hansen just because Gus outplayed him HU?

I'm honestly not looking to get into a big debate about it (and wish I'd never posted now!), obviously someone still says it because somebody did and although it's old it still crops up (I never looked at 2+2 til the last year or so but I know the story). When I opened the thread I rightly or (evidently) wrongly thought something about being a "freak and a very weird dude" would crop up - not that it would be funny necessarily, I just expected to see it is all. Eventually I did and commented, that was all.

What you mean Gobbo shooting his mouth off? If so look for Aussie Millions 2007 post tourney interviews on pokertube or something. If you mean vids of Gus outplaying him HU then look for the HU section of the final table.

Im sure durr would be getting more than most in RB. I have spoken to a few affiliates and they can sometimes offer upto 80% for big players on FTP so he maybe loosing out on 20%, $35p/hr and any other fees individual players can negotiate with FTP

He may not be one of the biggest names in poker but anyone who plays knows who he is. Some people say they are not looking to attract people who are hardcore players. Who are you looking to attract then? The people who don't play don't know who Ivey is either. One thing I thought was interesting; everyone says he is doing what they need him to do for free. If he signs with UB or PS what happens to the high stakes tables then? Everyone may not be playing there for him but you know some are, Maratonas??? He will be signed by someone. The question is, will they get him before someone else does? I'd love to see PS or whomever swipe him up just to see what it does to the high stakes tables and what becomes of him. i know it would not kill them, obviously, but I'd bet it won't help them.
