Solve for Why is surely done as a serious training site if they gave up a quarter of the way into the challenge for their star pupil against a recreational player to save money. It's truly pathetic for Landon's backers to pull the rug assuming that's what happened (and I can't imagine Landon himself insisting on quitting if they wanted him to continue)

re his dad's 5k btw Perkins freerolled his dad, because Perkins is a nice guy etc - Landon had a small enough % of himself and is young enough i'm sure he'll recover financially which is good

Landon's backers getting wrecked (although for way less than they should have) is what makes Perkins the hero here. They thought they were taking advantage of a rich fish, and he got one up on them through hard work improving, wp Perkins

I actually think/hope (for once) he wont be. I think Perkins is gonna be a lil pissed at them. He put in a **** ton of time doing hard work practicing and preparing and getting coaching for this. His whole die with zero mentality is to enjoy and take advantage of the time you have in life. He wanted this thing to go all the way. Not sputter out 5k hands in.
