If your 30 year old self doesn't cringe at your 20 year old self then you probably haven't grown much as a person over those 10 years.

not every 20 year old is cringe-worthy so there must be some 30 year olds who can look and be very OK with their past selves

no trust me you were super cringe @ 20, the fact that you don't see that at 30 means that you're not doing enough growing son
06-22-2021 , 08:55 AM
present day cringe you'll still be a great contender though

Some are better than others, Landon being one of them, but if you're not looking back at your 20 year old self and embarrassed about a few things you're doing life wrong, imo.

big difference between being embarrassed about a few things (self-mockery is good for anyone) and cringe with at yourself

cringe =/= embarrassing ?

Pretty sure most 40 year olds cringe at their 30 year old self. Same with 60 year olds and their 50 year old self.

my 10 year old self would cringe at lando

I'm a level beyond you guys cringing at yourselves. Why cringe? If everyone here is assuming it's normal to be a bit cringey at 20 or whatever why not just accept that? I don't cringe looking back at myself at 20. I just look at it as a normal growing period. But then again I wasn't tweeting cringey selfies and bs motivational stuff when I was that age.

Cringe culture is dead, only old people still cringe.

My attire needed some work when I was in my 20s.

It's both. One can both wince when thinking about things they did 10 years ago and also appreciate the value of it in terms of personal growth.

I kept a journal from my senior year in high school to about 24 years old. Probably tucked away on an old PowerBook in a closet. If I good fire that thing up now, I'm sure I'd react with a "WTF, I used to think that???" My old newspaper column is readily available to me. A couple of them hold up pretty well, most of them are neither here nor there, but a few offer a glimpse into who I was at the time and it's both cringey and hilarious. But it still gets chalked up to "well, I was X age at the time."

As for the BS motivational stuff, who knows how long he'll keep doing that. I have friends heading into their 40s who still do it all over Facebook and Instagram. The ones who do it based on fitness/exercise are fine – in fact, sometimes it's an ass-kicker to get others to the gym. But some of them are just Stuart Smalley-ish self-affirmation stuff.

At one point, I couldn't help myself:

Bill got bored and quit?

Well lasted longer than I anticipated.

Ive never once heard a poker player say "I ran good (Or even normal) and lost because the other player was better than me"

Well, that would bruise the ego and force self reflection.

a little under a 1/4 of the way through, fairly respectable pace. How much of a sample if 4500 hands of HUNL? Is it still highly possible BP losing to the handicap or is it pretty likely Landon the wrong side at -9bb after this amount of hands?
