FYI,

First, A new pokerstars.FR strike will start next Sunday (7/11) from 4pm (GMT) to 7pm (GMT).
The results will be published in the dedicated thread

Then the poker community is having a break by watching the World Cup finale.

Then the ".COM strike" will start next Sunday (7/11) from 11pm to 2am (GMT)
I let the 2+2 members do the math to understand what is the schedule locally.

To do a .com strike, it is quite easy :

1-Log in your favorite pokerroom

2-Filter on NL Holdem Cash game tables

3-Open a buy in cash game table representing about one tenth of your bankroll (for example : if you have 1k target the NL0,5/1 ; if you have 10k, target the NL5/10...) :

3a-If the table is full andyou can witness some action, go on the waiting list
3b-If there is one empty spot, take it and select the "sit out" option
3c-If the table is already blocked, go on the waiting list

4-Repeat step 2 and 3 "ad nauseam" until your whole bankroll is splitted on 10,15 or even 20 tables

To be more effective :
-do not sit on a table where there is already 5/6 or 8/9 "sit out" player, the table is already blocked.
-everytime you're ejected from a table after 3 orbits, go on the waiting list of the same table
-If the buy in you're targetting is already fully blocked, open tables with a lower buy-in.

PS : While your're striking cashgame, you can still enjoy Sunday million or whatever tourney and SitnGos you want to play.

How come you guys (french players) didn't organize and begin protesting to the french Gov before this became law? This law was in the works for a while and didn't happen overnight.

We should have do it before but law project wasn't clear and ps.com closed our account without preventing us!
Send everyone a mail 2 hours before closing accounts!!!

Cause no one had a clue about the terms of the law : the rooms who applied for the license knew everything about it and nothing has leaked...

Even the day before the launch on pokerstars.fr ,I asked them what would be the variants offered on the new site before transferring my roll, they never replied at all.

They blocked players without warning then ask them to join a site where no one had the clue of games, rake and so on : the only thing they were certain was the legit online wallet (agreed by french authorities) they chose to help us to make the transfer from .com to .fr and that was it . Do you call that caring for customers or their roll ?

I'm not saying you shouldn't be mad about this or that you shouldn't be protesting it, just that everyone knew that France was trying to pass a not-so-player friendly online gambling law for a while, so when it finially became law everyone shouldn't have been surprised by it.

I'm just saying it might have been better if French players got together early on and started to protest their Gov. before this became law.
