This is a good lesson in empathy, how often are you going to be playing against him and how much is your EV and/or enjoyment hampered by like one less hand per hour due to a possible misdeal?

But he’s always facing this situation, every misdeal is a slight inconvenience to him as well but he also has to feel bad and deal with fallout. Be considerate of others and put yourself in their shoes.

Haven’t seen the extent of the “witch-hunt” on twitter but there are certainly lessons worth learning here

Seriously imagine having to live with her holy **** absolutely intolerable

How about being thankful you're healthy and not crying about a couple of misdeals

It’s impossible to learn these lessons in the context of an online mob, where somewhat cruel moments are used as justification for psycho behavior.

I'm not in a good position to go looking through the Twitter feed, but I recall a player (I want to say Joseph Cheong) explaining that part of the drama came down to her lack of command of the English language. Something about not choosing her words very well, which is why it ultimately came out "should not be at the table."

Even looking at the Tweets visible in this thread, I can see how that could be the underlying problem. Of course, many people speak in broken English on Twitter, but hers approaches on the "I wont millon" level.

Have to agree, gay/trans/black midgets would easily win the victim status bracket tourney.

Are you sure she is any type of celebrity in Taiwan? I'm pretty sure this isn't the case but would be interested to see evidence suggesting otherwise. I suspect she is about as well known in Taiwan as Allen Kessler is in USA

Would love to see Chappelle do a skit on this doing brackets. Like he did with the racial draft.

The problem was with the dealer who misdealt twice in a short time. Shame on news headlines. Even in poker they try to start bs. Kitty is also completely negative emotional intelligence though. Her twitter is so cringe "oh I'm too cute and pretty, they're jealous, I need handsome man (even though I'm a 4) etc", it's almost satire.

I wasn’t there, but from Twitter it really seems like she’s being vilified for a perfectly reasonable request, which was just to ask for more experienced dealers so they didn’t keep having misdeals. In no way is that criticizing the guy with the assistant. Language barrier/cultural norms definitely entered into this. Everyone needs to lighten the **** up, as usual.

I cannot stand Kitty, I remember she once tweeted that it was disgusting that the men at the table wouldn't show her their cards for free because she wasn't wearing makeup.

A clown of the highest order.

It helps if you read the OP before responding.

The dealer making this mistake more than once is pretty ridiculous tbh. Like, turn off the autopilot just once?

Kitty also seems like a ridiculous person fwiw, but seems like she wouldn't have said a thing if it wasn't for the dealer messing up

Yeah based upon the accounts of this as shared by principals on Twitter, the OP is a gross mischaracterization of events, and the title of this thread should be changed.

Guess I indeed should have read the OP. That’s a different characterization than I had seen previously.

Apparently this happened in a 6 max event, so plenty of room for an assistant to sit beside KL.

I'm curious what they do when the table is 9 handed. The wheelchair takes up more space than a normal seat, so if the assistant is beside him, seems like a super tight fit at the table.

Nah, no one is saying/implying KL is lying, just that the title is a bit misleading. Kuo was criticizing a dealer, not KL.

But based on the responses in this thread, it sounds like Kuo's reputation precedes her. Combine that with her lack of command of the English language and the fact that she wasn't willing to go with the flow in a situation easily rectified, I can see why people are piling on her. She's making the proverbial much ado about nothing. Contextually, it sounds like she has had a backlash coming for a while.

She came across like a sore loser on one of the Friday night cash games I watched on pokergo once too. It was against a fun player, she was clearly upset she lost when he called her 3! with QT when she had TT. If you can't keep it together on a recorded/streamed game, who knows what kinds of fits you throw when not on camera. Seems like one of those times on display here. Probably not a great personality in general. Not someone to emulate.

Criticizing a tone-deaf remark is not "cancel culture" (which doesn't exist, by the way, it's just a dog-whistle for right-wingers who get upset that they can't get away with saying racist **** anymore).

And she wasn't "canceled", she apologized and everyone moved on. It's amazing what can happen if you actually learn from something and try to be a better person rather than going "durr, cancel culture" when someone calls you out for being a stupid *******.
