I do like Kevmath though.
If you knew how much money some poker affiliate sites make, you would realize $600 a week is absolutely nothing. I don't know how much 2+2 makes in comparison to the huge dedicated rakeback sites, but I'm told it's a very significant player in the market. Therefore to not pay their core moderating staff seems very, very sketchy.
I also find it offensive to suggest that what KevMath does here is something that "any fool" could do. That might be the case for forums where a moderator's role is simply to delete inappropriate posts, merge duplicate threads, clarify thread titles, etc.
But as we have all seen, KevMath's role in NVG is much more than that. He is not simply a passive rearranger of content, but actively involved in knowing what's going on in poker, finding and posting information, answering questions, and in effect being the custodian of the busiest forum on 2+2.
Again, it comes down to this: Is KevMath's work directly creating value for the site, and are other people financially benefiting from his work? If so, is it fair that he is not rewarded for it?
Whether he's a volunteer or not doesn't make his exploitation right or acceptable.
