Can someone tell me how The Shark Cage competitors were chosen?

@J_Hartigan inviting suspected cheaters
Quote:
@J_Hartigan well when he ghosts horses over Skype in a crowded room of ppl + suspected collusion in EPT qualifers... kinda hard to ignore

Quote:
@J_Hartigan online EPT qualifiers numbers have gone down significantly because of people no longer allowed to play them due to collusion
Quote:
@J_Hartigan its a joke that a guy being investigated for colluding against his peers gets invited to a million dollar freeroll

Should pokerstars do something about colluding?? it is hard for pokerstars to catch players colluding unless they notice something very different in their playing style but it's very rare to catch a guy going 10/10 to 40/30 via HUD

Most likely a better player than you.

It's really sad how many of these guys are accused of shady stuff.

Dudes sat with chunks in the bank crying himself to sleep because he can't beat midstakes cash at this precise moment with no practice. $ is the way to keep score in this game, not the stakes of cash he can beat.

Why is he crying about ghosting horses over Skype? Did he ever watch 2M2MM? FTP themselves said there is nothing they can do about people being together in rooms while paying.

Ghosting someones account is the same thing as telling them what to do if you were standing behind them, you can never stop it. Sound like he is jealous he didn't get an invite...

there is a difference between ghosting someone, and players casually talking about hands while in the same room.

It seems he's implying that he's ghosting players while also playing in the same tourneys himself and/or ghosting multiple players in the same tournaments. Not the same thing as a group of players all playing cash games at different tables and discussing hands.

I really think it's splitting hairs, giving someone information that can change the outcome of a session is the same thing, it will never go away as long as online poker is able to be played somewhere. Every person who has played online whether rec or reg has done some form of this once so I don't why he is complaining. I'm sure he has done this plenty of times given he plays MTT's.

ghosting is playing for someone, correct? if so, that is much different then discussing situations in real time.

I'm guessing ghosting can be interpreted in many ways? I assumed its using something like team viewer to help someone make decisions, for example late stages in a tourney. Using it to appear as a different person playing HU would be consider multi-accounting though?

I'm not saying any of this is right to do, I've always thought it was a given. Back in the day selling your account in late stages of big MTT's was standard almost?

It's essentially the same thing. You gain more of an advantage depending on how good their advice is, up to a point where their advice is so good they might as well just play for you.

not sure if serious but Kevin has been a pretty well respected HS mtt'r for many years. I'm not saying he could beat such n such stakes but please at least like, google the guy before you **** talk about how much he won or lost. Guy clearly isn't a donk who luckboxed a single tournament.

I like this tweet from James Hartigan: "Kevin, I can't engage you in conversation if you're going to make defamatory accusations about people."

No one gives a **** about ethics in the poker world. I really need to stop giving Stars so much of my money.

I am jonesing for some good old live tournament action. There implicit collusion is rampant but you can see it, stop it, become part of it, take advantage of it, play with people's minds, whatever.

That is the meta game that makes live poker so fun. Now online collusion, that is probably fun to watch in its own sick, twisted way. And once you see the patterns, go ballistic, sink the sub.

I didn't quite conceptualize it that way until a few minutes ago. Revelatory.

My point being that the solo poker mind is more than able to withstand decisions made by coincidence or conference. Because each decision is a process that takes that into consideration. Im sure this happens online as well, the problem being that it can be difficult to detect collusion when multi-tabling.

But why is Mcphee even watching the Shark Cage?

Can't think of a worse poker program in the history of poker television.

It's truly, truly awful.
