Deldar182, how often do you bluff amateur players who never fold? And please share your thoughts on how informing that player that regulars are not bluffing against him ever make the game more profitable.

Where do you think all the NL profit comes from? I thought people would be better at NL by now, especially playing 10kNL, jopke

~~~ Cliffs for the last 24 hours: ~~~
  • EireAbu has done three tables in the last 24 hours, all of them $50/$100 PLO tables. He won big on all of them.
  • mickan has done six different $50/$100 NLHE tables in the last 24 hours. He was meh, breakevish on all tables except for one, were he crushed.
  • In lack of people wanting to play wilhasha on higher stakes, he's done $25/$50 and $50/$100 6max NLHE in the last 24.
  • Pepperoni has done heads up $50/$100 PLO in the last 24. Most of his hands played was done against longerpig, a one-table game is still running between these two. Pepperoni is up a little bit as of right now.
  • knez has done a few $25/$50 PLO tables in the last 24. Standard stuff.
  • HC has done $25/$50 and $50/$100 PLO in the last 24. Almost of his table sat was red.
  • Theo has done two $50/$100 6max PLO tables in the last 24. He lost on both.
  • stardust had played $25/$50 and $50/$100 PLO in the last day. If I were to guess I'd say he shortstacked.
  • hasankiki has done $25/$50 and $50/$100 PLO in the last 24, mostly heads up.
  • Mr. Numbers has done a few $25/$50 and $50/$100 Hold'em tables in the last 24. Most of them not in the green.
Not only is he trying to get the fish to play higher, but he is also in a way trying to get the action for himself, since maybe some of these players at 25/50 wouldn't be willing to play as high.
Furthermore - take this with a grain of salt as I am not playing as high as these guys - it is common knowledge regulars will adjust their range almost to "value only" when playing vs. fish. So telling the fish "these guys don't bluff" is definitely an unethical thing to do, since, like tomsOn said, it might directly affect the profitability of the games.
-how does something become scummy if you're 'actually a grinder'? it's either scummy or it's not
-how is getting a fish to play higher scummy?
-how is someone trying to get action for themselves scummy? pretty hard to argue that trying to get a fish to play higher (when the other players might not) is worse than extreme game selecting, which is what toms0n is doing.
-it is not common knowledge at all that high stakes regulars adjust their ranges to 'value only' vs fish.
lol @ using 'it might affect the profitability of the games' as proof of something being unethical. think about that one a little bit.
What I was actually implying is that the persepective changes and that a railbird should put themselves in the shoes of a grinder to see where I'm coming from.
He was trying to steal action from others, that is how I see it. I never commented on "extreme game selection" (bumhunting). I don't know who tomsOn is and what he is/was doing.
I specified I couldn't speak for high stakes, can you fkn read? But it is the obvious adjustment any regular will make when facing a fish that doesn't fold. (I am also not saying that regs were doing this in this particular instance, I wasn't even railing the game and thus don't know what kind of fish they were facing.) Yes, high stakes are diffenrent, fish are different at high stakes, regs adjustments to fish at high stakes are different, I am well aware of that.
lol @ you thinking that sharing info which MIGHT - note that I am not saying it did or does in general - reduce someone else's EV in favour of your own EV is not unethical. I absolutely don't see your argument.
