Maybe and I love the guy but it really did sound a little off... I was right away like If she wasn't gay this would be pretty d creepy.

I'll admit I was kind of disappointed with the result of this. I enjoyed all the build up and was really excited for this to be the climax of the Jared Huggins saga but it wasn't to be. His awkwardness at the table combined with his below average performance made for bad television, if he had engaged the table and showed the personality we got to know here the result wouldn't have mattered, if he had played a higher level of poker, got involved and played less of a weak passive game the result wouldn't have mattered and how he came across on TV wouldn't have mattered.

I am not a high level poker player, purely recreational and people like me would have made up the majority of the TV audience and I would assume many felt like me, especially those who had followed this on 2p2 for so long and had been waiting excitedly for so long after BF etc to see someone we all supported go on the show.

I do hope all works out for Jared in the future but I found this to be anticlimactic and a bit of a let down, I wish your last hand had held up for a silver lining but it wasn't to be.

To you and others Donkamentz, sorry if I wasn't able to do my part to entertain you. It's a big show with lots of people on it, so I don't feel solely responsible for your entertainment, any more than I feel responsible for not hitting a huge hand. Thank you for caring about how I did.

A lot of people were rooting for me, and didn't enjoy watching me lose. That happens a lot on the Big Game. No one likes to see the Loose Cannon bust out.

Also looking cool while losing large sums of money is something the pros weren't able to do, and I can't think of a single Loose Cannon who was able to do it so far either. Not even sure looking good while loosing huge amounts on the Big Game is even possible.

I got the impression he was reminding her perhaps of an offer he made off-camera. They film this thing all day, it's likely they've spoken a fair bit.

after reading all the pathetic hatred on you, jared, my advice to you at this moment is to ignore these idiots. They definitely lead miserable lives. I wouldnt even take it that seriously as they have no clue as to what they are talking about. Such jealousy, huh?

I'm genuinely confused that people though JH came off as fake and awkward I didn't get that at all.

Gg Jared sorry it didn't work out for you but I hope you had fun and are able to move on from it.

I think you're a fraud, a shyster. Everything about you just seems fake, from your laugh, the way your mouth smiled but eyes didn't on the show, the dumb pose when you played a pot and ridiculous watch that poor people just wouldn't/shouldn't buy if they get a handout.

You have abused this community, got yourself a once in a lifetime opportunity and blew it. Not only did you play abysmally but you did absolutely nothing to demonstrate you had any kind of personality.

I think your opportunities will dry up pretty quickly after this and justifiably so.
I know a lot of people will say "boo! hater!" or whatever to this guy, but I think this is how a lot of people feel about this thing. Doesn't make them biased, haters, jealous, misanthropes, etc. I am pretty sure if you briefed a few random non-poker people about the story then showed them the tape they'd feel the same.

he's a scammer that took 2p2 for everything he could. ya, he screwed his life up badly at one point, i believe that to be legit true - but then he also kept accepting handouts long after he really needed them.

it's pretty amazing that some people still can't see him for what he is after this, but at least a lot of people have had their eyes opened.

in the other thread he blamed boostedj for his bad play btw. lol nice gratitude for thousands of dollars worth of free coaching - to come on 2p2 and say its justin's fault that you were openlimp/folding and being such a nit

Hey Jared, I hope my post didn't come across as "haterish", it more more of a assessment of how I felt the show went, I know you were under a lot of pressure, more than I can imagine in a poker game but I'm merely voicing the part of the consumer. I've always been a fan of the JH story and its twists and turns and I'm glad you've turned your life around.

That's not true, I just looked this up, the only post I saw about this was someone criticizing for limping, and saying how he must not have been coached by Boosted J since he limped. Then Jared says that Justin Smith said that limping is a viable strat on TBG sometimes. (from what I've seen, a lot of weeks it is fine, this week it certainly wasn't though, but some weeks are a limpathon).

ya i said the openlimping bit if you bothered to quote my whole sentence lol. point is, ppl are saying "hey dont limp fish" and instead of owning it his kneejerk reaction is to blame someone else and say "boosted told me to limp".

Yeah, we all know limping is wrong 100% of the time. I've never ever seen Ivey open limp in a cash game...

Jared, do yourself a favor and take a break from this forum for a long time.

Jared,

Were you happy with how you played after it was over?
Has your opinion on how you played changed after watching yourself on tv?
If you had a chance to do it again what would you do differently if anything?
What are your plans for the future?

Thanks

Such a good point, he went noticeably awkward at hearing that question. He really didn't want to commit to it at all. My mind about him was made up there and then.

And lol at posting a breakdown of his play.... he's like the best troll ever.

Intelligent poker thinking and "100% of the time" are incompatible concepts.

Yes, it's completely inconceivable he wasn't instantly prepared to declare and commit to an exact amount or percentage he was going to give to charity, before even knowing if he'd win any money in the first place. Just because you might make incredibly specific plans for spending your money before you earn it doesn't mean he did.

You keep talking about "hitting a huge hand", do you really think freerolling 100K for so few hands was just about hoping you got dealt a top 3 hand and got to shove?

The fact you seem to honestly think you did well, is the most frustrating thing about all of this. It's ok to accept you didn't do well, or you got nervous.
