The first step of the Event consists in making all the players (ISPT expects their number to be comprised between 20,000 and 30,000) competing online, simultaneously, on a dedicated software and using electronic pads which will be offered to them, from their seats in the stadium.

What I think will happen in practice is that they'll dump the tablets idea and just run 300 tables on the stadium surface.

Obviously, they need an online site to start/promote the event-that's where the new and improved FTP comes in. This much was obvious from the first post in this thread.

I think the idea, as is, is too ambitious, but a scaled down version could be very successful.

The Tapies must really think they can get FTP back and running again in the next 90-120 days. I'm wondering what their counsel is telling them what it's like to negotiate with the DOJ lol. Maybe they know something the rest of us don't know.

No way they can risk doing this on the pitch in Sept/Oct unless they put up a crap load of marquees which takes a way the point of it, its bound to piss down one of the five days if not all of them.

I can't imagine finding more than a hundred people willing to watch poker without playing. Family and friends would probably get in free anyway, the rest would only pay if the price included and afterparty or a meet and greet with the winners.
