Just because your family drove saturns and kia's, while eating bulk chicken from costco everynight doesn't mean you can ruin my work with low class imitations.

OP may be right about the blogs in question, but I look down on him anyway for reading blogs in the first place. Blogs are the absolute worst part of the internet AINEC.

Bond18's blog does kinda read like it's written in bullet point form, this happened, then that happened, then this happened etc etc. In fairness however these guys are poker pros not professional bloggers and writing fluidly isn't something that comes naturally to many people.

TBH Op, people in glass houses should'nt throw stones so until you manage to inject some eloquence into your own literary endeavours maybe you should stop hating and shut teh eff up.

Because I am so awesome I get bored when I have solved a game and become the dominant ruler of the tables (like I did to NLHE and PLO previously) so I am going to quit and move on the scrabble. I will start by watching at least one scrabble video a month and will start learning playing low stakes 500/1000 FL scrabble for 29k hands and my goal is to be a +17stsp/100 winner at the end of the stretch.

This is my first post on 2+2 and although responding to the haters is probably not my best use of time, but I was encouraged to by one of the regulars.

I play poker because I enjoy the game. I began playing 6 years ago an an Indian casino in Rancho Mirage CA with some friends to relax and blow off steam. I played small stakes limit and sucked at it. My first time at the Commerce in 2006 I played a satellite to the LAPC main event and won a seat. I finished 22nd, mostly by running well, not playing well. This is what hooked me on tournaments.

A year later I had a good run at the main event of the WSOP, and by then my game had improved some but, I began to realize how much I didn't know about poker. My next event was the Borgata and that went pretty well for me. I think I played reasonably well and ran well in key spots. A couple of months later I had a good run in the Bellagio 5 diamond series, began to write and play pretty much full time.

Now here's the thing. I am just a regular guy who decided to take a shot and may have gotten a little lucky, but don't think I haven't put in my share of hard work along the way. Prior to poker I worked hard, really hard to achieve those things which people look at now and think came easily. I had scholarships for undergraduate and medical school, worked full time during both of these. Served with honor in the US Navy, and received various awards and distintions along the way which again, I worked for.

Now turn to poker. What began as a enjoyable way to pass the time, has turned into a passion. I love the competition and the learning process along the way. I don't claim to have the natural ability and instincts of a Tom Dwan, or the experience of a Lee Markholt, but I try to learn from those around me and improve my game whenever possible.

I may be just a guy who has been lucky enough to do well in a few big spots, but I am a profitable tournament and cash game player. I write about it because I enjoy sharing the experience with others. I give my opinions and share my highs and lows along the journey. I also try and learn through the process myself. For example writing the series of articles with Michael Binger in card player, I learned a huge amount about poker. Discussing hands with the pros I respect serves two purposes for me. First of all it educates me and second it humbles me. Last night I sat with Shaun Deeb and talked about a few hands. I realized how much further developed his thought process was, and how much I can still learn.

Anyway, I'm a guy who is enjoying the ride, maybe more of you should think that way. I appreciate your thoughts and comments, and I try to answer all the email I get at winstonpoker@yahoo.com.

the OP is funny in a saterical way, but in the end it's pretty silly to rant about peoples' blogs. The rules of blogs is simple: if you don't like it, don't read it.

It doesn't hurt to have the option.
