Take a quarter mill -250K - which is the number of registered 2+2ers, subtract 5K of them who never play poker, cut that number in half to get the cash players, then take the square root of that to get the number of players better than doyle.

Trescientos cincuenta.

You guys act like Doyle has never been raised before. Do you think he's really going to roll over the first time he gets 3-bet or 4-bet? Come on.

Doyle has sat at various times with PA and Ivey and Barry and durrrr and Chip and all sorts of people that could scare up a stake. He sat 6 handed live with Raptor, CTS and Green Plastic. He's played in really tough, really deep live games for longer than most of us have been alive. He's probably not at his peak any longer. But, jeeze, show a little respect.

This whole notion that well known players who were very successful before the poker boom and during the boom are all fish has gone way too far. They are by means the best players in the world anymore, but that does not make them fish. It's true that no one in the world has any huge edge on them. Small edge yes but is that really conversation worthy?

I mean you see these guys make a few bad decisions on TV and you think you have discovered that they suck. That is nonsense. You can find even worse TV plays made by Townsend and Roble, two huge online winners. Does that mean they suck too?
.

I think if it was a 100bb hu online cash game then most decent hu reg's (200nl+) would have an edge over him for at least 1000 hands.

mix game format, live, high stakes...none?

Hey Doyle! Sorry for the really offensive thread.

If this is played live then none
If it's played online I'm guessing some SSNL players might be able to beat him by using a HUD which Doyle I assume has no idea what it is.

its 100% clear that if i would play 100 or 1000 husngs vs Doyle, i would crush his soul !

Boy I think you over estimate the average nl200 reg (or the average nl1k reg, really).

Are they playing heads up?

Are they sitting at a full table with a bunch of other elite players?

Are they sitting at a full table with a bunch of donkeys?
exactly. and even more importantly, are they playing online or live?

I like the direction the thread is trying to take.. now all we need is someone to do a graphic of a bunch of Internet nerd-lookin' n00bs and Doyle Brunson battlin' it out in some strange setting eg. the Iraqi news conference... or maybe this thread doesn't have the slightest potential to become "Cyril"? lol

Let me think about it.

Playing a living legend HU for 3k/6k in a mix of H.O.R.S.E + NLHE + PLO + Triple Draw...

I think the answer is near 0 maybe?
