Easgate bought in for $8000 on a 200/400 table and left the table as soon as he doubled up. shortly thereafter he was back and once again bought in for $8000, prompting other players to get annoyed.

FiSHeYe1984: don’t you have millions ?
FiSHeYe1984: why do you hit and run like a girl ?
PeteEastgate: to make them last longer
FiSHeYe1984: shotstacking mainevent winner
FiSHeYe1984: at least show some etiquette and give me some buttons

Eastgate does this every time he plays don't think it really warrants its own thread

At least Tilt make you buy back into a table with the same amount you left with if you quit a table and then buy back in shortly thereafter. At least I think that's true. Stars doesn't have that rule?

well, i do apologize if that is the case. obviously i was not aware of this. i'm pretty sure that if you search through nvg you will be able to find even more pointless threads though. so you best get going, you have a lot of posting ahead of you.

As far as I know there's a timelimit. For example, after x amount of minutes (20? 30?) I believe you can buy back in normal. An argument against shortstackers is to make the time limit longer so they are forced to keep having to sit back in with their amount they had prior to leaving.

An easier way to stop shortstacking is to make the minimum buy-in 100BBs.

If Peter Eastgate does it, then I guess it's a good strategy.

That's how he won the main event. Doubled his stack and took the rest of the day off.

this comment is pretty dumb.
is an axe murderer newsworthy if he does it once, but not if he does it every day?

i find it very interesting and surprising that eastgate does this. i mean he's not jerry yang or jamie gold - he's supposedly a good player who should have some etiquette.

If you don't like it, perhaps you should play somewhere where it isn't allowed. Otherwise, no reason to complain IMO. It's part of the game and it's legal. Eastgate's bankroll really isn't all that big when you consider how much he paid in taxes.

Nice analogy there -- short-stackers and axe murderers.

Better analogy, NVGers and "would you like the combo meal today for an additional dollar twenty-nine, sir?"

So shortstacking-hit-n-running-ratholing-douchery is now equal to axe-murdering?
