Spoiler:
The table was terrible as predicted.
Tilly is the only one I want to keep from this line up. Hope it gets better next week.

I actually enjoy Baldwin’s stories in a few of the episodes, but yeah, this is awful
Hustler’s Tuesday game was hands down more entertaining than this, and they even cut it up into a best of basically

The biggest pot was chopped up
Who in the hell is Sippl and Sanchez? It’s Antonio, 2 nobodies, Tilly and Perkins

It would be hard to hand pick a more boring who-cares lineup. Remember when HSP was “special”?
And yeah, why are they bleeping out language

Yeah Baldwin is definitely an interesting addition to the line up, and he has good stories. His poker is unfortunately quite nitty which definitely got the job done in his day but its not great for TV nowadays.

Exactly, I was wondering the same. It would be nice if AJ Benza perhaps gave a quick run down of these types of players the first time they are on. Where they are from, how they made their money/what they do for a living etc. Of course not everyone wants to answer that but if the answer is just a generic but mysterious "buisnessman" then it adds to the appeal.

I remember Sippl was heads up for a prestigious title, I think it was the PCA main and took a bet check jam line vs Steve O’Dwyer. O’Dwyer hero called with Ace Ten high which won him the tournament.

That was so terrible.

Also, Sippl looks like the adult version of Stewie from Family Guy.

Look, no one denies Bobby Baldwin’s impact and contributions to the poker industry and community. Heck, “Bobby’s Room” right? But seriously, he is a pretty poor choice if you want an action oriented televised cash poker game, like the nut worst choice. Hope the sweater he’s knitting turns out nice!

The pro play is to wait until mid-April and do the 3 months for the price of 2 plan, and that will stretch all the way through the WSOP final table. You can watch HSP when you sub then.

He needs to be surrounded by a good lineup, where can can just sit there and tell stories

This lineup is troll-level bad

Farha is playing PLO in TX .. and barely speaks from what I'm told. Some would probably play with him and not know who he is. Would be interesting to see if he could turn back on the TV persona.

Surprised no one is talking about the hand with Antonio's sleeper straddle (72) .. The graphics had Perkins straddling and his comment of "Should I even look" could be taken a couple of different ways, especially with him. But I watched it again and Tilly verified with Antonio that it was a Sleeper Straddle, so the Dealer missed that for sure. Trying to get some drinks going was the distraction and created the spot that certainly would've played out differently with the original Flop.

This lineup is what you might find in Bobby's Room or other. I would guess that some of these players don't even want to play with Person. As with some of the PHell lineups, this is a a 'home' game lineup and might've been the only way to get Antonio on the show. Sippl has been on PokerGo/HSP before but they were playing 8-9 handed .. which may be the way they need to go to get more interaction and allow some of the newer Players to get more comfortable or perhaps even catch some side conversations 'by accident'. It's hard to keep the banter going 6-handed.

As far as the dream lineup .. I think Solomon is bored with poker since no one wants to 'play' with him. The last few times I've seen him he ran the table over since no one was willing to mix it up with him 'for stacks' on almost every hand. I'd love to see Solomon play with Jungle. While I have a lot of respect for Seiver I just don't enjoy him as much as perhaps Ben Lamb. I think having Robl show that he's still a master on that 3-day cash game was great. It'd be 'nice' to have to pay a JRB type to set up lineups because nobody will play with you otherwise! (If you didn't know that already) GL

Baldwin may not be an action player, but he sure struck me as precocious and classy in his old interviews in the 1970's WSOP's available on pokergo. It's not wonder he became an extremely successful business person and well-liked by other players. He is one of the few who's played for over 40 years and stayed at the top. Credit for that.

This is inaccurate. Play a lot with Sammy. There are two Sammy’s. 1. When he’s winning he’s a chatty Cathy and the world is sunshine and rainbows. He’s just like you saw on TV. And 2. When losing he is an old curmudgeon who is constantly berating the dealers about every little thing.

He’s never quiet and everyone knows who he is.

Vice network airs the full season shortly after it airs on PokerGo. I know they've done this the past 2 seasons. They air the episodes on Saturday nights. I stumbled across it season before last.

I had a friend who just played with him in TX a few weeks back and was texting me about how big of an @sshole he was. We are/we’re both huge fans from the TV days.

He was awful to dealers, called the floor to like remove one from dealing during their down… floor obliged.
Didn’t put his $25 or whatever in for a bomb pot, claimed he did, had to go to the cameras and everything for a measly $25.
Dick to players

I don't mind limp calling with both Perk and Magic behind, but then you gotta take advantage of the squeeze spot especially after there are two callers. $12k free chips is fine or you make Perkins pay for position and the other two fold out. Worst case you GII with QQ .. not bad. 'Unfortunately' he gets rewarded when Perk calls off. He knows his image and any limp/3bet is super strong. This is Magic's 'home' game so there is history that we aren't privy to when it comes to certain spots.

My impression was that there's another group and with the US Poker Open coming up it's possible that they didn't want to put out a single new episode with that group until they could string them together weekly on the calendar.

Certainly not any earth shattering play (or pots) .. this is exactly what we see every day in our own rooms. And perhaps that's why it's not as entertaining as some would like it to be. GL
