Can we cancel AJ? He's horrible on the show

Why is it not OK to think it is a bad thing for a country like England to change in terms of race and culture? I love both English and Middle-Eastern people. I don't love mass immigration into England.

So, I vote for let's not cancel.

We don’t even have to get into that

At the start of the show:

Rmbrx9: “ I’m a big boy, I can handle cursing, don’t censor!”

Later on in the show:

Rxmbrx9: “I think he might have been saying something bad, cancel!”

The opposite, I found it odd that they're censoring F and S and A Hole, whatever but allowed that.

And just to be clear, I'm perfectly fine with what AJ said

Why was a 600K 3 way pot a “While we were away…” segment?
I assume it was the 200K max bomb pot

Bob Bright, Uber CEO nit Stanley, unknown Asian, Tilly, Rob Yong, and Robl?

This is HSP?

It's a pleasure to watch Bob Bright limp AA, and flat an open. Electric

Jesus christ, what a disgrace. Remember when HSP used to be a good show with solid, interesting lineups? Aside from Robl, there is literally no one I'd watch.

And what the heck is this obsession with getting Rob Yong on every episode of every poker show/stream known to man lately? Watching that dimwit fold into oblivion while cracking the unfunniest jokes ever is physically painful. Ffs, Paul Wasicka, Jerry Buss and Fred Chamanara were more entertaining than him.

Robl is the only redeeming thing, Salomon is fine I guess.
JRB was there, looked pained listening to Tilly talk about every hand and left?

There’s Wednesday HCL streams that are as big as this with better/more interesting players

JRB if rumors are to be trusted. Stakes him frequently and in general lubes him up to get access to his games.

To each his own if you’d rather watch HCL but they really aren’t supposed to be same thing

HSP is a short edited show with good commentary

HCL is just one long stream with Bart Hanson?

I’ll check out HSP especially if the lineup is good like last group. But have zero interest in checking out HCL.

Fair. At least Jerry Buss was Jerry Buss. Rob Yong nitting it up on every show he plays is useless.

The point is, HCL on a random Wednesday/Friday is better than this HSP lineup, even editing it for max entertainment.
I'm not a HCL bootlicker, but I flipped it on tonight and 25/50/100 had 200K stacks, 300K, 100K and more action

All HSP really has going for it at this point is the nostalgia factor and the commentating.

Back when it first came out there was no streaming, the games were huge, there were lots of big names and big pots etc. Now it's mostly people nitting it up at lower stakes than you can find elsewhere.

People seem to have a short memory as the I believe the first six episodes were quite good. Wasn’t it 1/2K with some pots triple straddled to 16K? And then iirc there was around 7M on the table. Doesn’t sound like a nit game.

Haven’t watched the newest episode but the lineup didn’t seem that great. I’m not sure I’d be shaking my fist over it though. I’m sure if they could they would replicate the action from first six episodes and have a more interesting lineup. But there’s not as much free money flowing around in poker so it’s harder to pull together.

But to each his own. HCL is a much bigger time commitment and I’m that big into watching unedited streams with all the silly nicknames and watching guys like Nik Airball.

I'm sure you can find a good episode or 2 but like you said HSP is edited and it's still pretty boring these days.

I don't watch the unedited streams either save for maybe 10-15 minutes here and there.

Well it was the first six episodes, wasn’t really a single episode or 2

But it sort of feels like it has to clear an impossibly high hurdle. Any show is drawing dead with regards to replicating the former “mystique” of the original seasons. Back then you had the “superstars” that played in Bobby’s room and then internet heroes who we were so interested in seeing for first time live.

It seems like the first six episodes were about as good as one can possibly get for a televised cash game in this day and age.

Robl and JRB have parted ways .. no gossip that I've heard on good/bad/even or anything.

JRB is now 'in bed' with Salomon. This is has been heard on both the HCL and HSP games.

I'd really like to know the inside scoop on JRB .. he was living in the Aria, but now married with kids, so no more. He does take really good vacations too.

He has been a big part of arranging and playing in high stakes games for some time. There's so much history with these Players that we don't see .. didn't you guys catch 'The Boat' story? Where JRB said he was tired and left a game on a boat only to have them hear stuff going on in his room .. and then he came back to the game and lost it all in one hand.

I think a lot of Players relate to JRB .. perhaps playing in games too big for the bankroll and/or staked and not wanting to lose in a 'silly' way. As we've seen time and time again, his instincts are very good. I was screaming at him to make the KQ high call on HCL against QJ pot bet on River. IMO I think I take a higher incidence of bad beats .. just like JRB .. than other Players. But that comes to playing a higher VPiP and high variance lines, so it comes with the territory.

RobY played much better poker during the hybrid cash game .. since he was forced to because of the format. A huge swing in the show was him folding to Robl's shove when they both basically had the same spot except Robl was way behind via pips.

As has been stated before .. I don't think the high stakes scene in Vegas is what is used to be. So these Players don't have the excess income from clueless Whales to just go all out in a HSP scenario for 'entertainment purposes'.

Why can't they get some of those younger Players from the 10k/50k tournament series to play cash? Do they get crushed behind the scenes? Are they all just trading money? GL
