Public service announcement:

The goal is logical and of course what members of this forum are in favor of, including myself. You should be aware though, and most will have no problem with this, that this is very much an astroturf organization.

The site's registration is hidden by Domains By Proxy, LLC. The site was put up by PM Texas, LLC. and that is who is collecting your names and email addresses. This is mentioned only on the contact us page.

With approval this month by the Texas Racing Commission, Sam Houston now is owned by Maxxam, the track's longtime owners, and Penn National Gaming Inc., which owns, operates or has interests in 25 tracks and casinos in 16 states and Canada.

Penn National's share of the PM Texas L.L.C. partnership is owned by its subsidiary Houston Gaming Ventures, which indicates the company's plans for its Houston investment.
The OP is probably working for them. Thought you should know who you are sharing your personal info with since it is not obvious.

I have no problem with a gaming organization asking us for help to bring poker to Texas. That's should be obvious because the thread is still here. Just wish they were more upfront about it.
