There's definitely a high-population reality filled with players endlessly grinding low-stakes cash games and $2 HUSNGs, checking pics of Hellmuth's luxury vacation and muttering "I'm better than that guy." I'm not sure it's a better reality, though.

Part of being a great and successful poker professional is game selection, and the $50k PPC is one of the toughest tournaments around. Now I agree he shouldn't be posturing about being the best mixed game player in the world while skipping this event, but for a long time it's been clear his White Magic is successfully navigating the mine field of large field tournaments.

What if this is about the awards? I will applaud the man if he took his family on a great vacation or something. This just seems un Phil like. Maybe he is saying 'you want Daniel, have him' with the 3 awards to one for phil for bad boy of poker (wtf?). Notice no one seemed to be attending these awards.
