He's already got an app in the AppStore.

It's called Grindr.

Gonna download and see if I can get some action.

Lots of people online.

Friendly too!

Oh wait.

Maybe you'll be able to experience another aspect of Vegas and book a hooker there thus the name would have double meaning.

Grinders rep isn't bad and he seems like a good guy but he kind of has adopted the saying "You're only as good as the people you surround yourself with" pretty poorly.

Given his winnings to the average poker player (not knowing he filed bankruptcy and is most likely down lifetime) and the amount of TV coverage he always receives, he could easily land a deal with a site but somehow just makes it worse for his image day in and day out .

The name kinda fits to his "play every single hand" style tbh.

Are Seals with Clubs and Betcoin the two biggest ones?

I think it's $500+40 for Betcoin's 1500 BTC Guaranteed Millions on Dec 14th (http://poker.betcoin.ag). It says 1st place is guaranteed 330 bitcoins ($200,000) but of course, that's about $120,000. I believe they've been running satellites for this thing for 6-months.

Playing it seems like a great way to support bitcoin in poker. I haven't even heard of Betcoin until the other day but I've played on SWC.

Ah that tournament is actually on the Winning Poker Network which is what America's Cardroom is on. Betcoin uses WPN software and shares tournaments across the network but not cash games. And 1st prize is over $200,000. Biggest US tournament since Black Friday.

Sounds like about 45 jealous haters to me. A poker site is definitely needed, and Bitcoin is a great medium. So the guy has a friend wi a history of shady past. It really helps your point along greatly to just assume past friend will be controlling inflow and outflow of site's cash-room.

Good luck for grinder's venture here. I like the low transaction fees involved with Bitcoin, and havng the ability to play some diff poker variants would be refreshing and a great idea in my mind. Instead of the crap all-hold'em fest they have on sites like WPN

There is no if, he was a sponsored pro there. With that said, just because someone is a sponsored pro doesn't mean they know ANYTHING about how a business is run or what their financial status is. It is ignorant to think otherwise.

I also agree with what others have said. The company you keep says a lot about you. I think he's a very shady guy and I wouldn't have anything to do with him or his business.

WTF, this site (BTC on tilt, mentioned in the quoted post, seems they just changed the name but forgot to change it in that section) owes me like 40 coins still. So gross, there's no regulation with these sites they just disappear if they're not making money, rebrand, and relaunch and try to get more deposits.

Wouldn't be surprised if its the same people behind the infinitipoker thing too, but I think that ones different.

Umm I deposited when bitcoins were $5 so it was a small amount, and they stayed in contact via email for a long time, and claimed they were gonna pay me, actually did make a small payment but thats it.

Ah so your complaint is btc is so awesome and you want them back badly I just mean to point out that rather than the usual "bitcoin is not safe" that instead these days there is new technology to make it far safer than traditional sites payment systems. Back then you didn't have multisig, smart contracts, and escrow, but these days the players can start to ask for and expect them. Many of these problems are solved now, sites just need pressure and support to implement them.

You have misunderstood me twice now. I am sympathetic to your cause, to the point that I want you and others to be clear that you and the community can protect ourselves about this things with awareness.

It is not a thread about how you lost your coins but a bitcoin poker room and the players could use a person like you explaining that bitcoin is not the problem but that there are user friendly ways to protect ourselves from such threats. And yes I am all for discussing who is trustworthy and who is not. I have been touting for quite sometime now that in the near future of the game we are all going to have a create and rely on a community web of trust in order to make these sites "work".

I simply point out if you accidentally give bitcoin a bad name the community will fear it and not learn the benefits of it in relation to the recent "economic" and regulatory changes the game has gone through and continues to go through.

Why is Mizrachi not using the perfect name for a room, that could differentiate it from PS' current non-reg-friendly policies:

The Grinder

A site that celebrates regs. There is something in that, marketing-wise. As for the legitimacy of his site or shadiness of his associates, that is beyond my ken.
