LOL. There are many reasons to upgrade from a Toyota Tercel, which isn't even a mid-level car, other than to get girls. Comfort and safety come to mind. Just found it peculiar he plays as high as he does but still putts around in a bucket.

The only questions left to ask is how Greg Mueller would fare when faced up against 30 7 yr olds, or 10 5th graders. Could he knock each one out individually with one punch? Is he allowed to kill the kids? If it were 35 perfectly trained 7 yr olds would the 7 yr olds have the advantage? Also take into account Canadian schoolkids, vs American schoolkids.

I know both of them pretty well. Greg couldv held his own in a fight, and while Roc has the 'crazy' look, 'snapping Greg In half' wouldn't have been a breeze, but rather a ridiculous, messy fight. As for the option of 'settling this outside or privately', when a guy (esp. a guy like Roc) is pulling the 'crazy' card and maniacally throwing your chips across the casino while screaming, you don't tap them on the shoulder and ask them outside. Your only options are to either react on their level and throw punches, or try to figure out a better way to deal with this. I'm guessing that's what Greg was doing. Honestly, I'm sortv glad he took the higher road, because even though a fight wouldv been hilarious, as they are both big guys, injuries were likely, and thus more bad press for Commerce and poker, which on the heels of the various criminal associations during the WS, is the last thing that poker and Commerce need right now.

I suspect Greg will be avoiding him in the future. Roc is not the type to drop past conflicts. And they are probably pretty even at shorthanded LHE, so there's no financial incentive for Greg either, as some may have thought.

He deserved a face job from this guy if he did infact knock his stack over.
Obviously you've never played high stakes in a casino. It's a fairly common needle, and an accepted joke. Generally it involves knocking over a few chips, and no throwing across the casino.

if greg hit him he could face being barred from the U.S. if charged and placed in an immigration detention centre.

greg did the right thing

People who like to wear pajamas when they play poker at places other than home shouldn't knock over the chips of some guy named "Roc"!

I am not going to hang around this thread to debate this with internet inbreds, but suffice it to say I'm fond of Greg, and I'd rather he had my back in a fight than about 99% of the people I know and 100% of the people on this forum.

Then gtfo!

Do you think Roc nows about the huge flying eagle? Or, did he just thin his name was cooler without the k? I thin I'm going to drop all k's from now on.

Eep it real.

Not so, my good man. But reading this particular thread is a little like looking at a traffic accident while driving by.

****ing laughed hard to this. so true. Sarcasm was perfect. As for GM being some badass because he played hockey lawl. Bigger they come harder they fall. As for Shaniac, if your nerd azz gets in a fight u better get the entire NHL to get ur back.

I know who Mueller is, who is Roc?

Rock appeared in Commerce around 2006 and was playing high stakes limit holdem... like 300/600 and 400/800 type games.

Had an aggro style but you knew he was eventually going to bust against the really good players in that game.

He looked like "The Rock", but fatter. That's where he got the nickname.

He did have the appearance of being a tough guy, but I never saw him flip out on anyone. This story surprises me. (Somehow I missed it back in 2008.)

He dated Maria Ho for awhile. This was back when Maria was also a player in that game. While I think Maria was a winner, she was young and didn't have that much of a bankroll, I believe. There were some rumors that she was dating Rock for his money, but I don't know if that's true. I do know that Maria and Rock broke up right around the time he disappeared from the games at Commerce.

I remember seeing the two of them (Maria and Rock) at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno in 2007, which Rock betting like $5k/hand. Obviously you know where he was headed.

I like Mueller and have known him for over a decade, though he likes to tell a story which isn't true. He and I used to both talk a lot of sh** on Pokerstars back in the day (around 2004) before anyone knew who either of us were in real life.

After fighting for awhile on Stars, we made peace, and later met in person and laughed about it.

Mueller likes to claim that I was threatening to kick his ass on Stars, and then met him and was scared once I saw his size. Totally didn't happen. I never threatened to kick anyone's ass. He also told this story with Jesse Martin at the table, and claimed Jesse also had threatened to kick his ass before meeting him (they're good friends now), which I also don't believe.

I think Greg just likes the idea of guys who talked **** with him online later meeting him and being scared.

Greg has always been nice when I've played with him in person, though, and it's hard to imagine him getting into fights or almost-fights with people unless they really provoke him.

Don't forget you're probably a badminton player or something in an analogous way because he absolutely was a reasonably tough hockey player , so irl you were toast.

The post is great. We need more good stuff like this from you!
