How the hell are so many people getting confused by this? I've never played live beyond a drunken home game, but it was obvious that a flag was referring to a $5k chip based off what he said.

Ran into Greg during June WSOP time, and caught a playoff hockey game with him at a local sports spot. Standup guy and was a general great person. Fun sports bettor to watch a game with.

Glad to see he got his 5K back.

= HILARIOUS. And I agree that this is a man who loves for us to know that he plays with "flags." I mean, we all know what a "flag" is, but really dude--do you have to say "flag" 20 goddamn times in the interview? I mean, we all get it: you're bankroll is as huge as your dick!

I recall some interview Helmuth gave years ago in which he must have referred to his "cranberries" (the old $25k Bellagio checks) like 1 million ****ing times. The irony, of course, was that Helmuth was 100% dead money in any cash game where you'd even think of bringing a "cranberry" to the table! That was back when they used to build NL games in Bobby's Room around Helmuth, I think...

All that said, Mueller seems like a cool mf. I sweat his "flags"--and I'll be the first to admit that I am totally jealous that he can shoot dice and bet in denominations which include $5k! So I don't mean to be a hater... Just a tad annoying when so many of us are busto. But a good story, IMO.
