Can someone knowledge elaborate one the definition of "Acquisition Deal", please? Seems binding, no? If so, how can/would/will the talks (negotiations??) with the DOJ affect the whole thing?

the entire world would be up in arms, everybody is in this together now that it is 100% clear FTP is insolvent

But will it bring better customer support when FTP re opens?

I think that's the real issue here...
09-30-2011 , 11:48 AM
So when are we getting paid? I'll believe it when the check clears in my bank account.
09-30-2011 , 11:48 AM
DOJ has to be ok w the new investment group paying the players, and not take FTP assets for the deal to go through
09-30-2011 , 11:49 AM
I hope FTP Doug is part of the deal
09-30-2011 , 11:49 AM
Oh good...an ex-con will have all the maneys. Yea I'm sure the checks will be in the mail in no time.

Please, make this happen !

If not, I'll be like this poor man : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ee925OTFBCA

Seriously wtf is going on. Sickest rollercoaster ever.

I like good news as much as the next guy or gal but I'll believe it when I see the funds in my account. After Full Tilt said our money was safe and accounted for AFTER Black Friday and I learned it obviously wasn't, I'm VERY skeptical of anything to do with them.

Doesn't an 'exclusive agreement to acquire' mean only that they will not talk to another potential purchaser during the time of the agreement and probably have inserted some sort of confidentiality clause along with countless other clauses? It seems to be an opening for negotiations, but not that a sale is agreed. Also isn't this what they had recently and it all went pear shape? I hope it is good news, but would hold on the side of caution till it is no longer "to acquire" and say "acquired". Till then there still seems to be some rather major hurdles that are not just purely DOJ based.

don't **** on our parade DOJ

FTP has been stupid, but not so stupid as to announce this if it was not done!
They (FTP and the French) would not make/sign an agreement that the DOJ would not OK just to try to shift blame AGAIN. DOJ is likely totally on board with the details! This may be, hell, this IS the real deal IMHO!

Wow, I'm taken aback by this latest development. And pleasantly surprised. It looks like I have to eat my words, but that's the best possible scenario.

Where is this info coming from though? Seems like it was just posted on one random poker site.

We need the DOJ to make sure the purchaser pays the players.
