Fulltilt's license was revoked to drop the price of the acquisition. Nice move French mafia! Hopefully I'll see my money sometime in 2012 but I won't play a hand of poker on this site.
The new ownership is waaaaay shadier than Lederer and the gang.

We would love to knock out LedaSon.

Debit is not of DOJ, but old FTP. DOJ have problems with old manager, and frozen funds.

Irish offices was not taked from DOJ, anyway the most important is the software, the assets, the employer, and the brand. You can open an office everyehre in Europe, London, Ireland or other place, remember i write that Investors will put money in advance for liquidity for all these things and make start!

It's my take that the DOJ can still go after these guys if they choose to do so. They will not just let them go like that. At least those that have been in the know of all the chit that was obviously going on there.

Say that the deal is not through yet and that we still have to wait and see. I will agree with that.
Say that the Board of Directors of FTP fked up hugely and deserve to be punished for that and I will agree.

But try your hardest to turn any news about FTP that has come out for the last 4 months into something negative and I will not appreciate that.

No, the DOJ is not God. However, the DOJ does have the power to go after the assets via civil forfeiture, and stands a very good chance at having their request honored by foreign courts if FTP is convicted of some of the charges against it. You are ignoring the fact that it doesn't matter if it's new owners and they open it with a new name. If they have bought "old" FTP assets, and the DOJ can claim those assets, then the "new" owners have to deal with the DOJ.

Seriously, just stop with posting nonsense like "the players can use their FTP accounts to buy shares" or "this is a way to do a deal without the DOJ". Multiple people have pointed out how your suggestions are ludicrous, but you keep ignoring them.

They have alot of funds frozen which is essential in this particular deal, as tapie stated he wants to have DoJ to pay some of it

Noah what are the chances of S:P getting a hold of this agreement?
09-30-2011 , 06:13 PM
Also, everybody please STFU about who the DoJ will or won't deal with. Their entire existence revolves around interactions and negotiations with criminals -- informants, rats, getting people to roll over, plea bargains, stings, etc. etc. etc. They are nothing if not practical. You think they are going to faint over some little match fixing scheme?

Obviously I know it will be a guessing game, but even a ballpark figure would be cool. Before Christmas?
Buyers say they hope to reopen by January 2012 but the deal depends entirely on successful negotiations with the DOJ, so who knows. The DOJ does things on their own schedule and won't be rushed just to refund players just because you want your money real bad.

Anyone want to set a line on whether this deal comes to completion? I'll take the under on 25%.

He is someone who remained optimistic about the FTP situation even when disaster after disaster occurred.

He was mocked and ridiculed by many NVGers, yet kevmode remained weirdly optimistic. It contradicted all of the facts and data, but he did not care. FTP would make things right, and we would all get our money (in kevmode's eyes).

That's so sick, it's inconceivable.

If the French ever build this company back up to it's former worth or even exceed it, they would be making many 1000%'s worth of profit. What other investment basically guarantees you that, especially given the current economic market situation!?

Business decision of the year!!
dont think ftp was ever worth anything close to 8billion.

is STARS which is wayyyy bigger even worth 8billion, before BF? maybe

There is no way the Doj is cooperating with another criminal to buy a criminal enterpise case closed. He will have to shell out his own money to buy Ftp which I don't think he will want to do, case closed.
