Yea, it was done during the application claim process at the very end of the form.

Yes, I've been very fortunate, relatively speaking, during this process as the ONLY phone call I've had to make so far (knock on wood) was to my bank when filling out the end of the remissions form to make damn sure I put the correct banking information so I could get my money without any problems.

**** the DoJ

they allowed these sites to go unregulated (which resulted in unsegregated player balances)

the govt allowed this to happen over a decade and then pulled the trigger on Black Friday knowing how much needless collateral damage there would be and they didnt give a **** because they had a butthurt vendetta against the sites for advertising their .net sites on TV but couldnt do anything until the spineless thief rat tzvetkof dumped the case in their lap

now they want to be the white knight? not a fkng chance

Have BoA. No pending deposit. Any BoA users confirm theirs?

I have mixed feelings regarding the DOJ. On one hand, I hate that they went after online poker. I think they overstepped their legal authority stopping transactions and then found a loophole and used it to shutdown Stars. On the other hand, I feel pretty confident I'd be out several thousand dollars had they not stepped in. There's no way to prove it now, but I think from the evidence, it's pretty clear that FTP was going to crash and burn in a blaze of glory. Had that happened, I think the chances of getting our money back go down, but maybe not. Maybe Stars still pays us off so they can get back in good standing with the DOJ.

I asked this before and no one else weighed in, but I don't think it's necessarily a coincidence that the DOJ stepped in before FTP had squandered all the money. I think they might have been tipped off.

that is quite the logical leap

how many investment companies/banks do you think would have the liquid cash to cover all their obligations if they were shut down without notice tomorrow?

You're comparing apples and oranges. The question should be "How many poker sites could pay back all their players if they all cashed out?" The answer is: ALL the reputable well run companies.

We only have a sample size of 3 to test: 1 passed, 2 failed. The one that passed (PokerStars) was the reputable one and properly segregated player funds from operating costs. The one that failed and was scummy was Ultimate Bet (which we already knew from the Russ Fox debacle) and the other was Full Tilt which we now know from the evidence was also scummy.

The evidence was that they did NOT segregate player funds, which they said they did. They also had extremely high, non value added costs in the form of poker pros who received salaries they were not worth and continued to receive them when the company was not making enough to pay them.

For anyone who thinks that Full Tilt was going to be just fine and dandy had the DOJ not stepped in, you are either delusional or just haven't seen the evidence.

reputable <> ethical

PokerStars and Bank Of America to this point are reputable
Old Full Tilt and Enron were scummy
PokerStars and Full Tilt are poker sites
Bank of America is a bank

People are ethical or unethical. Businesses are either reputable enough to do business with or not.

The original point stands. If you think your money was safe at Full Tilt had the DOJ not stepped in, you either haven't looked at the evidence or you're delusional. We're damn luck imo to be getting our money back based on how Full Tilt behaved. If you want to rail on someone rail on Bitar and his crew.

All bc I filed two claims. =\

For those of you in the same boat, CALL. If we arent disputing anything, we shouldnt have to wait like this. I am waiting on a case specialist to call me on the matter. Congrats to some and gl to the rest.

Where do I go to see if anyone would be interested in buying my account at around .75?
You and I are in the same boat, and I agree that we shouldn't be considered a disputed claim. This is especially true in my case (and some others as well), due to the fact that Patrick has removed the first claim, and only the correct undisputed claim remains on file.

Just called bofa as well. For some reason my local branch # isn't listed so I had to call a 800 number. No $0 for me, but the guy said he wouldn't even be able to see it anyway since it was $0... So maybe I just got someone who didn't know what he was doing?

Bank of America has 35th largest corporate annual earnings of all time - not 35th among banks, but all companies in the world. They are not a fly by night operation. They are quite visible and reputable. Do I bank with them? No, nor would I ever. I don't eat at McDonald's either but that doesn't mean McDonald's isn't reputable or profitable.

If you bank at Bank of America, your money is as safe there as it will be anywhere else. Of course, they will try to nickle and dime you with fees to help make a profit. Their customer service is crap. But, that doesn't change the fact they are reputable. Ironically two people around us are talking about Bank of America because they bank there.

I'm sorry your hero FTP turned out to be a douche and the DOJ came in and got our money back, but your anger is severely misplaced.
