No regulatory agency is going to take on that kind of responsibility, they just don't get paid enough to handle that much liability. What they should do is prosecute Bitar and the rest of the board of directors for flagrantly violating the terms of their license, but since they're an off shore sham of an organization, they have no way to do so. What would happen if some casino in Las Vegas refused to pay out players, I can't imagine that the Nevada Gaming Commission would simply shut the place down three months after they stopped paying and then proclaim their job well done, someone would be going to prison.

I wonder wtf Jeff Ifrah is doing/has to say about any of this?

He's still FTP's lawyer right? Even though at one point he asked not to be due to FTP's lack of ability to pay him?

In summary monta, we do not know. Players are still out of pocket and there is no timeframe for when / if they'll be paid. There are rumors of a new FTP version 2 opening up due to job adverts.

Just a note to the other predictable d1ckheads like DePokerGod: It's ok for forums to duplicate information. They really do have enough hard drive space.

Rumors Eh? Well that's certainly something new on this thread, how about some "insider information" or a bunch of "informed speculation" by some unofficial experts! Oh well without some real news, what else is there but this ??

I was hanging out at a flea market and heard a rumor that FTP is almost done being sold but the new owner does not intend to pay anybody what they had in their account, instead they are proposing to give everybody a copy of Justin Bieber's new single BOyfriend, this is the best news i heard, i love Bieber, its better than nuttin.

Throw in a copy of Chris Ferguson's DVD on Ballroom Dancing, (entitled Riffle - Riffle - Strip - Riffle, and Other Assorted Dance Steps), and it's a deal.

Full Tilt Poker is guilty of making money.

Well we cant sit back and just wait. Has anyone been able to locate lederer, ferguson, bitar, ivey? Or know the status of them? Their share in the company I feel they should put up to pay back players and if they dont have it... well all of their assets need to be put up/sold and money given to the players. Say they pay everyone right now .50 on the dollar and then when full tilt settles pay the other .50. Or pay all the small guys now with little bankrolls, get them out of the way. Then when FT settles pay the big guys. Seems like they don't want to pay a dime and thats bull****, will not work. Of course ivey is playing on stars because showing his face in public could be a bad idea. People want their money and you sir also have to pay up. Shouldn't be allowed to make another dime until you do so, its bull****.

Hahaha, man you sound like how I was feeling not too long ago. Look at what you just posted. Assuming you're not randomly leveling you've become so used to getting completely screwed over by the sites that you've become unable to accept legitimately good news. What you posted seems pretty rational from an online poker player point of view. We get screwed by FTP. They delay it by lying to us repeatedly. We get screwed by them, they lie to us, then screw us over some more. Stars becomes a monopoly so they decide to screw us too since there's **** all we can do about it. A bunch of amateur sites started by individuals with no ethics looking to cash in on the scenario start up and start posting 1-off bull**** stories to grab links. We get screwed by them. Every which way you look as an online poker player you're getting screwed.

But now there is actual legitimate good news. Not coming from some fabricated source or even from the site itself. It's their actions that are positive. This isn't not some giant conspiracy involving Bitar, Alderney and a dozen others trying to somehow get people in this completely irrelevant thread excited. It's progress - the first sign of clear progress in a year. Take a breath. The world is a whole lot nicer place when you realize not everybody is out to cheat and screw you. When FTP2 gets ready to start trying to screw you it's going to come in a much prettier package than some employment posts and an application for a gaming license.

And where exactly would Ray Bitar et al be getting this money to apply for a license and pay for new hires?! They don't have players' money anymore to spend and they sure as shiz aren't going to be spending their own to relicense FTP. I know it's easy to not to be cynical regarding developments, but these actions read far more like GBT than Ray Bitar and friends.

I mean, I think our govt legalizes fraud by allowing fractional banking, so I wouldn't say all they're guilty of is making money (they didn't hold 100% deposits at FTP)....but the govt is certainly equivalent to extortionist thugs with baseball bats who created this whole problem to begin with by prohibiting adults from playing poker online.

As I said before: no law-ee, no butt rape-ee.

BTW, greatest pic of all time

You know, it's cool that you're constantly going around pushing your "everything is a big corrupt conspiracy" thing in every thread, but making a clever movie reference doesn't mean that this statement isn't ******ed as hell.

There have been a dozen signs of clear progress over the past year.

What there HASN'T been is cashouts. Which means random people are going to continue to spew random nonsense.

Anyway, nothing's happening until May 6 at the soonest, when the next legal hearing is scheduled. I'm done with this thread until then.

I get that the DOJ and the IRS are the "bad guys" in this situation, but come on.
