Orinic isn't a society, but one of the many names that together make up Full Tilt. It hasn't demanded a license, but put in an application for a Category 2 license with the AGCC. The information is all on the AGCC website and has been linked earlier in the thread.
It is obvious that teschio80's first language is not English. Given his name and the way he writes English, I might guess that English is his third language. If you knew any language other than English, you might realize this. If you knew as much French as teschio80 knows English, you might know that 'societé' is the word for 'company' and 'demander' means 'to ask'. In short, teschio80 wrote exactly what you rudely instructed him to say. You were just too ignorant to realize it.

:s i didn't "instruct him to say anything", i was just clarifying and answering his question. Maybe i was a little terse (the answer to his question is just a few posts above his) but certainly not rude, i wasn't telling him to "say anything", and i'm not sure i'm ignorant of anything. He said demanded, i clarified that it's a request; whether it's a misunderstanding or a mis-translation i'm not sure is too relevant: i was just making sure he understood what was going on.

My apologies is that came across as some rude demand to conform. And by the way, i speak 2 languages fluently and another okayish (French is sadly not one of those though!). I'm not sure why attacking my supposed mono-lingualism is of too much concern to this thread.

Not in a year. Yet these people get excited every few months from second hand news an d rumors. Well played Howard lederer. You can probably do this for a few more years.

I saw a guy playing one dollar sit and go's before FTP shutdown and he was a differnt avatar on each table. I don't know how he was able to do this. I emailed FTP but no reply.

wouldn't you just pick a new avatar when you open a new table, and not close the old ones?

I for one welcome our new FTP OVERLORDS

Not sure if a level, but you could change your avatar directly after opening a game, and then the following game would have your new avatar, then do it again etc etc.

I wonder why there hasn't been any announcement. They must read this thread, they know the online community ferrets out everything. Puzzling.

prolly waiting for license? isn't that the most important thing
wouldn't be too cool if they announced everything then license got rejected

Why don't people understand that "FTP2" is not FTP, the company in trouble with DoJ. A new company called Full Tilt could certainly gain entry to the US market if that market ever exists.

In the long run I think we're going to see the DoJ was the hero here. This industry desperately needs cleaning up and the DoJ's actions have resulted in a cascade of change. If Stars and FTP were still king offering play to US players while thumbing their collective nose at the DoJ then we wouldn't be seeing US regulated poker snowballing like it is today.

And FTP had absolutely turned into something strongly resembling a Ponzi scheme - Lederer/Bitar/Ferguson and company were, at a minimum, stealing players' money. That wasn't going to end well in any scenario. It's not like they would have stolen enough and then just decided they had enough money now so they're going to go straight. They would likely have gotten more flagrant and greedy as time progressed. A collapse was inevitable. What the DoJ has done has ensured that the former criminals involved with FTP will never be associated with that company ever again. Even if FTP had been left to collapse under its own weight, the site likely would have managed to limp on with the same group of rats tugging along with it - a la UB/AP. Good riddance.
