Good idea. I'm curious about the feedback from the 2+2 community first. But that can be arranged.

while I think the picture is funny, the fact is if GBT has to have all player balances on hand he has to have roughly 150M plus the 80M to the DOJ plus a kitty for FTP start up and running expenses, promotions ect.

Not much change out of 300M.

Its also a fact that smart investors are not lining up to buy FTP.

As far as I remember Tapie/GBT has been vetted to have enough money to close the deal a long time ago (when or even before the negotiations started). It has been speculated that GBT a) wants to buy FTP as cheaply as possible, ldo, and b) does not want to pay everything out of his own pockets.

If Tapie has a year to get his money back and after this year FTP vanishes into thin air, then, yes you are right, it is a bad investment. But probably this won't be the case. It is quite normal in business for companies to bid 10 times (or more) the annual profit.

its really funny to me that with all of the speculation and analysis we get on here (and DTM alone types up enough opinions for a dozen threads) no one has even suggested or thought about the fact that the party most likely to be holding up the deal is neither FTP or GBT. The third party, the DOJ, has this much lower on it's list of priorities, has less experience than either group in this area, and has very little incentive to speed up the process (but some incentive not to screw it up).

I'd guess the real hold up is the DOJ being a) busy b) concerned with the last small detail of the deal c) trying to get more money d) being persuaded to hold things up by outside interests or e) some mix of all of the former.

I think if the DOJ decided they wanted to put max effort and attention in the the FTP case and the sale of the assets this stuff would happen much much faster. I think if there was anyone that we could pressure in this instance and possible see results it would be the DOJ.

just my 2c, and I'm busy so I won't really have time to debate it when various people either logically disagree with it or offer up trolling responses.

that is all, back to photoshops and trolling.

You guys still making excuses for FTP stealing millions of dollars and stringing us along for a year? It will sink in that they are stalling soon hopefully.

Was it a SP article (or an interview) that said a potential hangup could be scheduling time with the DoJ to either bring this before a judge or get the right officials involved?

Once again, avoid jail time, move money, find any loopholes they can. It's pretty obvious. Not to the people listening emotionally and can't deal with the obvious truth.

No.

Its been almost a year. There is basically no "money" left for them to move or hide, and if there was it wouldve been moved months ago if that was their intentions. Finding loopholes doesnt take years to do either.

The "obvious truth" is that theyre trying to complete a deal, sorry. At this point theyre spending thousands or millions to maintain whats left of the company and pay lawyers to help negotitate a deal and make sure every "i" is dotted and every "t" is crossed. Theyre not just pissing that money away on purpose.

The more time they get the less outcry from the public. This thing will be forgotten in 3 years. Just like ub.
If you think team full tilt didn't have money moved around you are really gullible. They stole the money. It's not gone. They are hiding everything they can and Cutting whatever deals they can to get out if this mess with huge bank accounts and no jail time. Remember when this all ends and
we get maybe 20 cents on the dollar back while Howard and company live baller lifestyles with our money.

You guys realize that this is like the 50th time someone has discussed this exact issue with Joey. I mean literally exactly this. Not even slightly different in any way. Do you think you're going to be able to convince him? He doesn't even read to what you're writing. He thinks your delusional.

The purpose of me doing this over and over is so the people working for FTP know they aren't fooling everyone and they aren't going to get away with this if enough people wake up.

At least I'm consistent unlike the people one week the sky is falling then they are asking what bonuses the new FTP will have. I'm stating my opinion and I would love to be wrong and get back what was pre black Friday 70% of my online bankroll. I just can't stand the obvious stalling ploys fooling so many people.

Maybe FTPDoug will have something to say soon

I don't care what you think. I don't know why anyone does, but apparently, there are numerous people that can't get enough of your shtick.

The same FTP Doug that I said was probably a lawyer or pr person working for FTP. I made that statement shortly after black Friday and got flamed to death and told to put on tin foil hats. It's a shame so many people can't think for themselves.
03-29-2012 , 07:29 PM
Yeah that guy. He was paid by full tilt for sure. Maybe that should go in the where are they now thread but where did that guy go.

Ya it's real funny how I want Criminals who stole my money to be caught and return that money. I must be really nuts and require several tin foil hats.

That's it? Pretty soft

I seriously question the motives of anyone telling the masses to relax and sit back. It's been a ****ing year without a real response. But now we should be calm because a known criminal is going to save us? How the **** do you not question the dealings of two shady business groups. It's impossible that they are working together to stall???

So this is what happens when you play too many $4 sit-n-gos. The mind just snaps apparently.

You must keep in mind that the vast majority are losing players so for them the best thing ever was BF and they have never had such great BR for so long even if it turns out to be in FTP money.
All they care about is playing on FTP1 or 2 and dont care about justice or who is running the show. They would play under RB HL and CF management anytime.
