You heard? State facts. No one is dumb enough to listen to "I heard" anymore. Plus it's not obvious. There is facts that deal is very much alive. So shut your face until you can provide facts.

for the 1000000000th time, if the deal were "dead" then we would all know about it by now.

Well, maybe you just found out.

Common knowledge it is over. Not sure why no one has mentioned this is the talk around poker other than it is so obvious it isn't worth talking about. I mean we wouldn't really sit around how wet water is.

Howard, Bitar and Jesus are not going to announce the deal is dead, they have been stringing everyone along since black friday itself and no way they are saying that. The DOJ has never made a single announcement on this deal at all so I guess they are not about to start now.

That just leaves Tapie to officially announce the status of the deal. It might happen but they have been less than communicative so far so doubtful.

Gonna just be no news and ever increasing disappointment after the 29th? Seems that way sadly.

so what about diamondflush? she got to know better what the current situation is. anyone contacted her lately?

Well, if a random guy in a random thread on an internet forum said it, it must be true.

Case closed everyone, time to pack it up.

thats what I was thinking, why would anybody be keen to announce that the deal is over,it could have happened a month ago and we might still not know about it,given FTP,DOJ and also GBT's lack of communication in the past.

Hi All and a new week, but the same old roundabout of "deal dead" and then arguments that "how do you know?"

I really hope that it is all decided and we all know where we are this week.

Come on Tapie's tell us something this week or gonna go mad.........

Good or bad I think it is really strange that Diamond flush has all but disappeared from this thread or commenting on the situation at all. To say nothing is going on right now is just bogus so either their sources don't know anything, they cannot share, or they are withholding information are the only options, which all sort of suck for the community.

[x] sources don't know anything, obv.

When they have information, they (DF or Noah) usually allude to that fact even if they don't outright disclose it.

Call me an optimist, but I think all the silence is a strong sign the deal isn't dead. I think if the deal was dead, we would have heard whispers from many very credible sources already.

agree 100%. If the deal had definitely fallen through there's no reason for silence toward the issue, I think we would know about it. People are just freaking out unnecessarily imo

The trouble is the silience can be interpreted either way, good or bad and players just want to know and so can move on.

The only thing is if there is progress or not, why are they not telling us? There is no-one else in the frame at present so why not tell us where things stand?

Because the "suits" who are making ( or not making this deal) don't care spit what you or I want or need. We don't count in their calculations, never have, never will. HL said it right (for him) months ago. He told a reporter they would tell us something "When we're ready"! They, FTP, feel no obligation to keep us informed, neither does the DOJ, nor does Tapie. Unfortunately the players are at the mercy of events and some fairly unsavory characters and organizations. Despite this I am still optimistic, because there is a lot of money still at stake that these folks want to control. Stay cool if you can, sir

Ivey competing again in the United States

Phil Ivey has come out of hiding. The TV poker pro is entered in the LA Poker Classic Main Event at the Commerce Casino in California, his first tournament since his name was dragged through the mud in the Full Tilt Poker mess.

There are reports that Ivey still owes FTP millions of dollars, and his reluctance to pay up may be holding up a deal that would enable regular players to get back money that they lost when the feds shut down the site last April 15.

Ivey has been playing in non-U.S. tournaments in recent months.

Ivey just bubbled the LAPC main event.... there is a God.
02-27-2012 , 01:31 PM
There was a time when I would think PI bubbling an event was a shame. Now I don't care either way (not that I matter), but times do change.

i'd rather him win it and be forced to do interviews than to bubble and have him run away.
