Whilst 2+2 was down i went looking at other poker forums for info on the FTP situation. Obv, no infomation. Now, here is the weird part, these "forums" as they call themselves dont even have a seperate special threads such as this one about the situation. Its incredible. Almost like they dont warrant it as a big deal.
Well, i for 1 welcome back 2+2, and screw the rest of em.
I thank you.

I am so disillusioned right now. Almost everything we have heard the past year turned out to be false. GBT close to a deal-not true. GBT deal is dead-not true at the time.
FTP is hiring again-meant sh it. FTP is applying for a lisence-well AGCC, every single expectation I had from this organisation went down the drain, only that they concluded in their "independent" external review that they did a good job, I expected that.
Tapie planning to repay every player- yes if you were not dead and buried at that time.
Pokerstarsdeal will be done in a week- and again 3 weeks later and I am still waiting.
How can I, and you, believe any news to be true, that will come in the future, regarding FTP?

So news next week...?

OK 1 There is a deal cooking and all will be well soon, BUT they won't tell us anything!

2 There is no deal , everyone will eventully get a little back, BUT they won't tell us anything!

3 There is no deal possible and everyone is getting ****ed over by FTP and DOJ, But they won't tell us anything!

Pick one you prefer and post all you want now that 2+2 is back

and in conclusion, full tilt poker was rigged. Tapie really was a bit of a crook, and everyone here who ever said they knew anything at all was completely wrong.

If by this you mean a fraud in many regards due to its "fractional banking", then sure. If you mean some rigtard conspiracy, well there is another place for that on these forums.

Reality is many thought the rush platform was of value and the database. Fact is Zoom is better and all the players have migrated elsewhere.

Money is gone and no deals in the works

So, to be clear, the fact that Harman likely had no idea money she received was questionable, is irrelevant to you?

Harman and other second-tier sponsored pros were simply employees of FTP. Why should she get screwed to make you whole? I'm not implying she is more important than you, but you aren't more important than her, either.

The idea that they should liquidate assets to pay back players is a complete joke. If you were an honest, hardworking middle management guy at Enron when it turned out your bosses boss was corrupt and stolen money, would you sell all your stuff in a futile attempt at paying back investors, even though you personally did nothing wrong?

You're the guy who bitches out the cashier when your groceries cost too much, aren't you.

If you feel entitled about getting confrontational with someone, at the very least go after someone who actually did something corrupt.

I would have been OK with he Tapie deal as I believe that deal was the best we were going to get.

I will be disappointed if I we don't get a full settlement within 90days or at least a settlement that is better than what Tapie offered.

If Stars bales us out I would be very happy but I can't conceive of a better outcome for Stars than if FT ceases to exist. IMO Tapie was alluding to Stars gaming the DOJ to achieve this in his press release but didn't state this explicitly.

I'm building up my roll again on Stars so I will write the FT money off and keep on playing on Stars.

I'm pretty sure my situation would be identical to most of the affected ROW players.
As a guy with about 5K locked up, I disagree. Players were going to get (essentially) $100 plus a good rakeback deal. I'll gamble that on Stars paying back players - after all, I'm getting 50 to 1 odds. I have a good situation going on, and no idea if I would want to give that up to play on FTP.

Getting back a mere 2% of my roll through GBT is a total joke. I can make that back in a few hours playing poker. Hell, I could make that back in a few days working at McDonalds.

If I had less than 1K on FTP I might be more inclined to be supportive of the GBT deal (not that that's relevant anyway) but even so, probably not. The idea of screwing some other player out of a five figure balance (or whatever) so I can pocket the equivalent of movie tickets and a good steak dinner for two, just doesn't sit well with me.

And if anyone dared suggest the GBT deal didn't make financial sense or he didn't have the money or he didnt want to make the player "whole" they were shot down in flames.

The fact that some of us thought the GBT deal didn't make any sense and offered logical reasons why the deal didn't make any sense, yet were constantly slated.

The red flags over the GBT phone calls asking players what % they would accept.

The red flags over the language of being "made whole"

Obviously GBT thought being "made whole" is to pay back more in rake than your balance.

The red flags over the lack of urgency of getting the deal done.

The red flags of GBT going after FTP degen pros for money they arn't likley to recover while claiming this "uncollectable" money is critical to the deal.

As I said at the time if he had 300M then how is 6-12M critical especially when most is owed by broke degens?

Too many people got caught in the headlights of the Tapie Train and didn't look at the whole thing logically.

There was a reason that all the experienced investors walked away from FTP.

There is no value there.

A Pokerstars deal makes sense because its a leverage play not a value play.

The DOJ are in a corner, PS can tie up all the loose ends in one swoop.

Everyone walks away a winner with the biggest being PS and the former FTP players.

Hahaha, bull****. There were plenty of people who made lots of really good arguments that the Tapie deal seemed tough to pull off, and there were many respectful and interesting discussions/debates that took place with those people. The fact that a bunch of ridiculous trolls who just talked out of their ass constantly got called on it doesn't change that fact, as much as you and others tried to paint this entire discussion as black and white.

Depends if she owns any shares of FTP and received stolen fund as 'dividend' or not. If she owns shares, then you can't compare her to somebody just managing an IT department for FTP.
