Gold's hand isn't even close to the same level as the Hachem and Tilly hands... not even close (and I hate Gold just as much as the next guy). Too bad this won't be televised like the Tilly hand, so that we could see the shots of all the players' reactions ala Ivey, Antonius, Harman, and Lindgren in the Tilly hand.

gold played that hand so well. He got farha to CHECK the river HAAAHAHAHAHHAHAH.
This sounds fine until you do the math. Even if Jordan plays 85s like this every time and plays a set like this only half the time, it's still a bad fold.
I think the correct word is hubris.
i figured if anybody would reaize i'm leveling, it would be you.
JM's been playing a lot of 3/6 NL on Full Tilt and datamines seem to indicate he's doing well at it.
I'm a Morgan fan. He totally outplayed the field at the 06 USPC and has won a WSOP ring event. Just saying that in a tournament format his lag style will lead to mistakes.
Gavin Smith is spot on about this laydown not being terrible. See the following hand for his amazing poker expertise.
Gavin Smith Slow Plays
Anna Wroblewski raises to 11,000 in early position and Gavin Smith flat calls in the hijack. Rhynie Campbell calls on the button, Steve Wong in the small blind and Tommy Le in the big blind come along as well.
The flop comes 6d2s2c and Le bets 20,000. Wroblewski folds and Smith raises to 46,000. Campbell folds, Wong folds and Le goes into the tank. After about a minute, he folds and Smith tables AhAc.

He got damn near the best hand he was going to get and still folded. I really dont think he seriously put the guy on 85 and that he folded the straight for fear of a set turning into a full house on the river.
Pretty damned weird though.
PS LOL at the tool comparing this fold to Doyles in HSP.
any of u guys ever played w/ Jmorgan?
then how can u comment on this hand?
do any of u guys know the action of previous hands?
maybe there was blind on blind battle.
maybe there was more.
foul play, testy situations.
a man losing his cool.
a young boy trying to begin a legacy
pressure of the cameras
You guys need to understand we are dealing w/ a context that is shallow upon acknowledgment, but deeper upon understanding. I hope you guys take a good look in the mirror next time you guys try to analyze a hand.

How does Jordan Morgan get people to fold better hands vs him? Especially when the other player has committed most of his chips into the pot? I would like to know how he does this (See USPC 06 where he got "Karate" Mike to fold AK vs his KT).
