I can't believe this event didn't get chopped. Especially considering some of these guys at the final table had less than 30k profit . Did they ever pause to try and make a deal?

Nah - the chip leader had so many chips I dont think anyone expected a deal to be accepted.

Never, keep in mind that 4 handed the chip leader was massive with over 200bb so it probably would have seemed ridiculous to ask for a deal at any point.

It shouldn't really matter how much of a lead you have. It seems crazy to gamble 1.3 million for 1st vs 2nd even if you're going to win 90% of the time or whatever. HU it looks like it was at one point 203BB vs 41BB. Maybe I'm too nitty though.

It was clear that Potter had a significant edge over 2nd - who was not really playing a Preflop game and was play a tonne OOP and making spazzey plays.

I dont think you would have gone for a deal in the same spot Zeebo.

Watch the replay and I think you will agree - he basically chopped up the FT and was clearly beating the 2nd place player in most Non SD spots.
