Sup NVG, just had a ridiculous run and finished 4th in TCOOP event 1 by running hotter than Jesus for 31k.

Anyways, its evident there are a ton of scammers out there.

What happened was that the very moment I hit the FT, I had a random account add me on Skype. This was possible because my skype name is the same as my PS SN.

His name is "PS Manager", skype i.d. "p.s.manager4", from Russia.
I admit I was a bit of a donk and got caught really off guard for roughly 30 seconds cuz I had millions of emotions within me.

This was our convo:
"HI
[5:51:30 AM] PS manager: Hello, this is the regional manager of PokerStars - Eugene

We are having problems with your account.
Our technical department noticed successful login attempts from Germany to your account.

You can now answer our questions?
[5:51:31 AM] James ---: TCOOP BABY
[5:51:37 AM] James ---: WTF?
[5:51:41 AM] James ---: im on the FT of TCOOP
[5:51:43 AM] James ---: germany????
[5:51:48 AM] James ---: thats ****ed up
[5:52:23 AM] PS manager: The fact is that our security department noticed a successful login from Germany, as well as attempts to transfer funds to another player from Germany.
These transfers were blocked by our security system.
[5:52:33 AM] PS manager: Your email has been changed to 1 time spoky@web.de, you use this email?

Obviously a pretty obvious scam, and I cant believe it took me more than a split second to realise it was a scam, but like I said, I was on the FT and couldn't think of anything else really.

Just throwing this warning out there for the hell of it, I'm sure some people are dumb enough to give off some personal info, or worse, have their accounts hacked.

PokerStars is never going to add you on Skype. Let's get real here. Unprompted, not in the method that they generally use (email)

Don't be an idiot and add people you don't know on Skype.

Having the same PS SN and Skype SN is also completely stupid.

Yeah all of this was pretty ****ing obvious after calming down for like 2.25 seconds. Anyways, barely use Skype anymore, just happened to be on with some friends railing.
