Estimated ranking of lifetime earnings of professional poker players Estimated ranking of lifetime earnings of professional poker players

I mean lifetime earnings online and offline poker and including business ventures. Professional poker players who ventured out, or people who've made most of their money off poker. Daddy's trustfund money doesn't count e.g Dan Bilzerian, Neither do Billionaires; Phua or Laliberte.

This is what I think, for now. Feel free to correct me or suggest additions to the list as this list is rather short.

There are some people who I would assume are at least $25.000.000 in the green in life-term earnings.
Doyle Brunson
Phil Ivey
Daniel Negreanu
Erik Seidel
Phil Hellmuth (Like gets mad whale action in Vegas)
Patrik Antonious
Tony Guoga (poker and other business poker ventures)

Between $10.000.000 and $25.000.000 in earnings;
Antonio Esfandiari
Todd Brunson (either here or 25.000.000+)
Ben Tollerene (I assume he has backers)
Justin Bonomo (sells action)
Tom Dwan (Asian games are swingy, but juicy, could be $25m+)
Jamie Gold (outside of poker mostly)
Fedor Holz
David Peters
Isaac Haxton
Phil Galfond (including profitable training site)
Jason Mercier

I would assume between $5.000.000 and $10.000.000;
Alexander Millar (ex-Team Pro + HU beast + good with money, likely more)
Dan Cates
Doug Polk
Joe Hachem
Daniel Coleman
Ben Sulsky
Vanessa Selbst
Johnny Chan
Vanessa Rousso
Gus Hansen (Backgommen, Bridge and outside of poker earnings)
Prahlad Friedman
Rui Cao (regular at juicy Asian games)
Jens Kyllönen

Between $1.000.000 and $5.000.000
Mike Matusow (Could be in the red or break even)
Sami Kelopuro (Could be more)
Charlie Carrel
Ilari Sahamies
TrueTeller (Likely Backers)
Joiso (Backers)

Break-evenish;
Viktor Blom (Fulltilt + Stars Pro could be break even or up +- $1 million)
Wilhasa (Reached Supernova elite quite often and has backers)

At least 1.000.000 in the red I would assume;
Scotty Nguyen
Erick Lindgren
Gavin Griffin
Eli Elezra
Niki Jedlicka
David Benyamine
Eugene Yanayt (oogee)

Give me people to add

By far the most made by poker players were the principals of Full Tilt Poker. They were taking millions of dollars per month. Far more than the numbers you posted for lifetime earnings. On the other hand, Doyle Brunson admited years ago that he's lost almost everything he's won in poker in bad business deals. The only reason he has any wealth is due to his wife. Ivey degened most of his income in the pits. Vanessa Selbst is essentially doing an internship at a financial firm. They have made much less than you posted in all probablity.

In summary, a few had far more than what posted, but most have made far less.

Brdigewater Associates is the largest investment management firm on the planet and she has a senior management position. I'd hardly call that an internship.

I agree on the Doyle Brunson part, but wasn't it that he lost out on a lot of money rather than losing a lot of his own money. I'd still be suprised if he doesn't have atleast 8 figures.

How come? He has 5 million in profits according to HSDB. One tournament cash of 2 million. He allegedly plays in the Macau games, but who knows if he is winning there.

Why do you disagrees exactly?

its very well accepted/known that he is one of the biggest/most consistent winners in all of poker since he was 18yo basically... i would be incredibly shocked if his net worth is below $25M

I really don't see where he would have earned that much money. Could you elaborate? There is no literature on his winnings outside of the 3 tournaments he played and the online sessions. Highly questionable figure to me.

"Thanks to his grit and determination, Sam Trickett net worth has significantly increased to about £30 million. "

It wouldn't surprise me, he is the kind of person who gets invited to the biggest games. I am not sure how accurate these numbers are, but I would be surprised if he has less than $10m

Let's not forget that Doyle Brunson essentially self-published the first edition of Super System, which may have sold as many as 1 million copies at a price of $100. Obviously I have no way of knowing what kind of deals or partnerships were made with his co-authors and partners, but it is clear that he must have made millions, if not tens of millions, from that book.

In fact most of the names at the top of your list, like Ivey, Brunson, Guoga and Negranu, have made large portions or even the majority of their fortunes away from the tables.

The hell are you talking about? There is literally not a single mention of him playing on the eurosites anywhere on this forum or on google. I am sorry, I hurt your feelings.
