talked with him in Monaco last year. awesome nice guy.
he's also really funny, check his tweets!

before we did the interview, he was asked to take picture by two online kids/fans. they were twins and they each wanted a pic with him.

on the way to the interview he said to me: "I don't get. If they're twins, why do they need 2 pictures!?"

Someone tell Ali Nejad that Erik Seidel has indeed won a televised event(WPT pictured above). I just watched the NBC HU and he must have said otherwise at least half a dozen times.

If everybody in poker were like Erik Seidel...

1. The game would be unbeatable; any mortal would be crushed mercilessly.
2. Nobody would care that they were being crushed mercilessly because they'd have such a great time hanging out with such gracious and genuine people.

Erik is one of those people that you point your kids to and say, "Be like that guy."

Played him in the 10k HU last year, and he was a really nice guy. To the haters, he definitely wasn't a nit HU. While I knew he was a great poker player, I didn't really expect him to be all that good at NL HU (relative to us online kids who play it a ton), but he was a difficult opponent for sure.

From what I've gathered he seems like a real jerk towards amateur players. Ya Erik your so damn good that's why you have won 1 bracelet since 2003. I hate when oldskool players get that snyde I'm better then you attitude.

+1. I'm glad someone said it before me, makes me feel less weird. I always love watching Seidel and he is by far one of my favorite players. Amazing player, consistent winner and just all around great to watch.
