Not to mention all the scummy **** on Party cash games (illegal converters etc.).

I mean they did a lot better in the MTTs area in terms of e.g. increased guarantees than in cash game increase and they still got quite a big bigger.

Probably MTTs guys will have a better idea about it.
Cash game traffic is still a pretty good proxy unless you think one operator has an outsized tournament presence. This may have been the case with the boom in lottery sit and gos, where not everyone had them, but today they are a pretty mature product across the industry,

If anything, I would lean to PokerStars having a slightly larger proportion of the industry's tournament traffic than it does its cash games, just because Spins are massively successful; they spread a bunch of other niche variants; and I would say liquidity is even more important in tournaments.

With all that said, TSG's online poker revenue in H1 2017 ($~420m) was about 8 times larger than my estimates of GVCs revenue during that period ($~50m). So yeah, about in line with cash game traffic.

Was pretty happy to get a gift from Party for my birthday last week And didn't get anything from Stars

Am pretty sure Stars must have me tagged as something of a 'special player' too - the type worthy of 'extra attention' Because they sent me a gift last year Not sure if maybe they've cut back on their outreach budget for casual players or something, while maybe Party and 888 maybe have increased theirs? Because the other two sites seem to send lots of free tickets anytime have not played in a while?

Was looking at PokerScout - does it look like maybe Party's picked up like ... market share (?) for cash games in the last couple of months? Guess they still have lots of room for improvement, but guess it's always interesting to see a company try new things and try to be more responsive to customers, and be rewarded for their efforts ...

Absolutely, cash game traffic is up something like 20%+ year over year, they even overtook 888 last month for the first time in years (ok, it lasted just one day)

Several years ago I wrote to them when 888 won, expressing my surprise and providing copies of several of their customers' posts here in 888's Official Thread.

I received the response:

"Thank you for your comments regarding 888Poker.

Our criteria is clearly stated on our website before, during and following the awards process. The judges names are also visible and the process, unlike hiding behind an alias, is deliberately designed to be as transparent as possible.

We stand by their choice for Poker Operator of the year 2012, however I take on your comments and will pass them on to the company.

I do, however resent the fact you dismiss the awards as having no value. This is, of course your opinion, but in ours and that of the sector they are the most valued in the online gaming space and, by some distance the most transparent awards in the industry."

I wrote again, copying several more posts, including, for example, https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/s...postcount=2815.

They didn't respond.

Presumably Party spent the most marketing $$s with EGR this year, I wouldn't worry about much else.

Party continues to impress. Highly recommend these events to anyone in the northeast of the states to drive to.

Sorry to be a pessimist but this market is on a steady decline which I don't think we will ever see it back to where it was, would anybody truly disagree with this? interested to hear
Right now in the US it's just like the early days of legal weed, only a few states have it. In 20 years a there's gonna be a lot of states hopping on the gambling money and there will be a player pool. Right now it's just been squashed by government taking a long time to play catch up with the people.
