The first section covers over 500 hands but takes the same amount of x-axis as the last one which only covers 30.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr imo

Congratulations....you Just made my list. No point in replying...I won't know.

Also to clear up...I think the 50 dollar offer from Durrr was for This Session alone. So he's willing to spend something like 500 bucks for each session in order to make sure the results are tracked accurately by multiple sources or what not....."Standard"...given the amount of money involved........

02-19-2009 , 12:25 AM
Fulltilt just put up 3 new durrrr 500/1k tables in HA, NL and HUplo (deep) i presume theyre edging towards a sponsorship deal or could just be thing like the trex313 table.

Thought PA play would't be messed up with 4 tabling HU, but seems he's in trouble with timers and long session concentrations somehow. Feels he's more passive than usual and and somehow more occupied running the computer than the pokergame. Anyway had my money on PA b4 first session but if he can overcome Durr, he really is next to god.
Have to wonder about those sandwich breaks of Durr combined to not playing Galfond etc. Teameffort? If not changing chairs atleast keeping conference how things are going and Durr's friends managing him to keep out of bad habits and leaks sneaking into his game. I don't know if this is even problem for him when it seems he don't get tired and can multitable quite a bit.
If he crushes PA as Im afraid he will, I think Ivey will still take the challenge for the heck of it, what else he has to achieve, but others will leave it alone. Allthough DB atleast was the best in PLO hu and this challenge atleast would keep him in his best game.
PA takes forever to act live and online, maybe it's the time he really needs to think every hand in and out or something and not just habbit. Guys are pretty even at worlds best but can't see now this challenge going anywhere other than Durr's bag. Ofcourse it won't be played 50k hands. I say 15-20k hands and PA pays the half mil. or other way around if he can manage miracle and beat team Durr.

3Bis in 1500 hands is obv sustainable!!!

This challenge would have been 10x cooler if it were HU NLHE instead of PLO. Better publicity stunt, too.

I am quite surprised that no one has really commented on the amount of free advertising Tom is getting from FTP. From a business standpoint Tom is reaping huge rewards both financially (obviously from playing) and in "goodwill" brand imaging.

For the majority of online players who are unaware who Tom is, they get to read about basically a David vs Goliath battle where this "young phenom" goes heads up against "pros"

As much as people argue if you go out into the general poker population and ask who is better Ivey/PA or this kid I am pretty sure you would get Ivey/PA the majority of times. However this will start to change as soon as FT starts updating their site with the "official tallys"

The fact that when this is over Tom will be a household name will be soul crushing to FTP and undoubtly they will be forced to pay Tom's price/conditions just to have him in their little stable.

Although FT will not lose a player base they will definitely lose brand value if 2of their pros/owners go down in flames. And when your product's main value proposition is "play where the pros play" and 2 of your headliners get smashed it doesn't really have the same power.

The ultimate rip would be for Pokerstars to steal Tom and run their own marketing rip which when Tom wins this challenge would be a huge blow to FTP.

Hats off to Tom for always been 3 steps ahead of the game. In poker and in life.

Some great points but Durrr will never sign with Pokerstars if he is forced to play there exclusivly. Too much good nosebleed action on Full Tilt that he'll have to turn down. Also, Durrr doesnt seem like the kind of player that PS sponsors. They seem to prefer the donkament winners imo!

durr is a much better NL player than PLO, especially with the 4table min

HA would obviously have been the best, since its a nice mix of both

Can Tom confirm if he is playing with a rambo headband and dubstep+grime music in the background.
02-19-2009 , 06:40 AM
umm, this isnt hurting FT at all, think how many more people are now at the least watching the games on full tilt because of this. this is a mutual benefit for both Ft and tom.

You really think less people will play at ft if PA loses this?
