Minor addition: He scammed me out of some pathetically tiny amount of rakeback on a new account (like 4 dollars). I didn't know him, and he PMd me on DC to offer rakeback on iPoker, so I decided to only play teeny amount at the microstakes and see if I got the cash before actually putting in any volume, but never got anything.

+1 and oh btw don't come here crying about cheaters when you ship money to a dude that you KNOW has multiple accounts on stars...

Glad to see the scams are making their way down the limits to where no one is safe... Why does anybody ever allow themselves to be sweated via teamviewer? I just don't understand why you would put yourself in this position as a 2p2er who has seen the downfall of this program time and time again.

I know Ben irl, met him during some live PLO games that ran during annual tournament series down here at the Crown.

We became friends, he seemed like a real geniune characting exhibiting at no point what seemed like "shady" traits, albeit he was a true degenrate often indulging in sick gambles with seemingly significant portions of his bankroll.

Later on he added me to skype, and started playing cash PLO online. He told me he was backed by some euro staking team? They provided him a bankroll to play low stakes PLO online. He often complained about running bad and sent me a few HH's to review, overall still seemed very genuine.

Recently (last couple of months), he has told me on numerous occasions that he is busto and looking for a job. He offered me 50% of his action on a low stakes PLO and some SNGs, I had never given him any money because he ended up binking one of his first SNGs, however I have never recieved any money from my supposed 50% investment.

Upon asking him about our agreement, he said that he would run the roll up a bit before we split the profits. I agreed to this because I know what it feels like to play with a low cashier balance.

Having said all that, I am still shocked to learn that he is a scammer. I think we need to hear his side of the whole ordeal before we can close the case for good.

He's online on facebook pretty much constantly. Considering the amount of time that this thread has been up and his lack of reply would indicate that he has nothing to say in his defense.

Don't feel sorry for anyone that that uses teamviewer and gets scammed. Theres a reason why there are rules against using it, yet there are plently of ******s that are willing to try to gain an edge by what I would call cheating rather than just play the game. I hope all you teamviewer donks go broke.

When you talk the hands over after a session its ok or if he watches you and gives you some input on a few leaks of YOU , thats bending the rules but ok.
But grouping in skype in a group of >3 players and maximal exploiting a HU villain is cheating.

It seriosuly just blows my mind when the cheaters get cheated and they cry the blues about it. Takes some kind of nerve to come on here and complain about being a cheater and get outcheated lol...... some people are just so f*&^ing stupid it's beyond belief!

In what world is staking someone you have never met with >10% of your net worth and letting them teamview you while playing HU against a spewy maniac who wins every hand against you a reasonable thing to complain about? If I walk around a seedy neighborhood with money hanging out of my pocket and it gets stolen who would feel sympathy for me? OP needs to move on and realize this was 90% his fault.

Just to clarify, OP has to sell his car because the backers costello scammed happen to be his stakers as well, and they are worried that OP might be associated with costello, thus they retain a good chunk of money from him at the moment as a guarantee.

I only skimmed this thread. Just thought I would throw in my 2c about the OP.

He was shady in dealing with me. Tried to get my roommates to get coaching from him, and feigned interest in living at my house in order to get access to people. He called me a "scab" too. And to "lose his number"

Janice7776 has had multiple altercations with people that he owes money to here on 2p2. I see him constantly posting "pm sent" for staking. I tried to warn a few people, but I don't have much direct dealing with him, only that I witness of others. I never feel its my place to say much.

Here is what some people had to say about janice7776 to me via PMs.

OP (Janice) was also sending unsolicited PMs to people trying to pitch his coaching to them. He did this to at least one person. I have no proof he has done it more than once.

At this time he was involved with a VPN service. He was helping sell it to people and was getting commission. That VPN service went down and customers were left stranded. Through the controversy he left the link to the website up on his blog. That link (although broken) is still on his blog.

I am a little leery to post this, as we both live in Vegas, and he knows where I live. He threatened people here. He is trying to activity do so with his youtube video, and I have suspicions that mods deleted his original post for those reasons.

I advise everyone to stay clear of this. I suspect highly that there is more to the situation than OP is stating. I would love anyone to come forward that has dealt with OP. If I am somehow mistaken, I am perfectly willing to be wrong. Maybe I am just bitter he called me a scab. I am looking forward to OPs case to back that up.

I am ready to be more proactive about people like this. I should have been more from the start. Count me in on helping with a solid blacklist.

All else aside, this is inaccurate. The reason for the original deletion had nothing to do with a youtube video or self-promotion.

I guess I am wrong, The song had nothing to do with any threats. I just assumed the way it was written, and made an assumption about the deleted material. I should stick to the facts to make a more poignant argument.

Stop letting people view your screen when playing poker. And stop collaborating against opponents with your study groups and next-level ghosting.

I was just letting you know that self-promotion wasn't an issue for the original deletion. As for the rest of your posts, if these are the facts as you know them, it seems fine.

I understand, the money is clearly poker affiliated though regardless, not trying to be a douche, no-one who plays by the rules deserves to be scammed.

I really hope potential stakers pay attention to this thread and stop backing these morons.
