My dear sweet ma, who just died last month at 78, was very non racist towards blacks. She had black friends. Never had a problem with my friends coming over and practically wanted to adopt one of my buddies. EXCEPT, she just didn't feel the races should mix and have kids together. Said it was just too hard on the kids. Well karma is a bitch. She ended up having two mixed/mulato or whatever the pc term is great grandchildren that she just loved to pieces. Just because someone is old doesn't mean their opinion is valid. Charles Manson is 80 years old. Is anyone asking his opinion on anything? What did Doyle do to become famous? I'm no linguist, but I use the word as a sort of catch-all for intolerance of race, gender, sexuality, etc. I think that's pretty close to accurate.

I'm not a super PC guy. I generally dislike oversensitive SJWs and victim playing, but this instance is pretty cut and dry. Disowning someone because of their gender identity is weak.

imo, doyle is an idiot ... there are people out there, who don't feel comfortable with their "gender". that's nothing new, the only new thing is, that we somehow can talk openly about it. there are also Intersexuals, which is a "natural" thing. not every one is a man or a woman. not every man, loves women, and not every woman loves men. all this things, maybe uncomfortable for some people, but disrespecting someone, based on their sexuality is just stupid.

Message to you, as well as the other posters here who are confused about the age thing:

If you educated yourself a bit, you might find that many people transition in their later years. There are various reasons why this makes sense for them. Changing attitudes/laws, not having to deal with young children, etc.
