509 fair value.
Can someone from the US explain these numbers?

I understand things like 4-1 (20%), 2-1(33%) etc. What do these numbers mean in terms of % chance of winning

$667 to win $100
$100 to win $485
The Fair value I posted is with the bookie juice removed.
The fair value of -509 implies Doug wins 83.58% of the time.

Thanks, so it's all about winning $100

This never even crossed my mind once. Other than the Michael Myers hair issues, Daniel looks fine.

I know this match and the election have been a bit of a distraction, but last time I checked, it’s still 2020. Not a great year for vanity (or hair).

That was quite the spanking DNegs gave yesterday. Spanked him like a petulant child. If Polk is not careful, he could end up losing a lot, and I mean a lot, of money. At the current rate he’s on pace to lose about $6 million. Damn son. This really is heads up for rolls.

Negreanu looking to take Polk’s BR, his life roll, and his woman. DNegs has been successful in live cash games and tournies, online, etc. He’s done everything in poker. Now it’s time to take out the trash.

Last 25 hands were good, should've played another 50.

Daniel tanking with trip 6's hu in a 3bet pot 100 bb deep, is a nitroll.

The hair was bad. I was surprised he went on stage with that.

He needed some product to smooth down the rats nest.

Sure thing Daniel.

Judging from what I saw of Daniel's online play this summer at the WSOP, Polk should absolutely crush him.

Look. I understand Polk has created the greatest poker training site the game has ever known, but I think the game has passed him by. For the past two years he’s sat on the sidelines while DNegs has worked hard on his game. I’m a crusher because of Upswing, but Doug might not be up to the challenge.

So, nobody is going to talk about card dist.? I mean, i coud not see one single hand that DN ouplayed Polk. Polk got coolered all night. If the same cards would get dist. at dougs side, Daniel would be stuck much more than the 110k that polk lost. Just my 2 cents.

Point taken. I am not a Polk fanboy although he seems like a good guy, and I have not seen him play in a few years. I can only go by what I saw of DN play this summer, and imo he was very passive online. Then he would seem to get bored when his stack was dwindling and go all in on mediocre hands. Honestly he seemed very very average to me. To the point where I was stunned at how bad he played. He cashed some tourney's, but mainly for the min and almost always because he rebought the max times.

If he does that against Polk I don't see how he has a chance. But anything can happen.

I might also say how much better DN's personality is on TV compared to for example watching him stream online for 5 hours where be comes across as a complete douche. When he is on TV his personality is completely the opposite. I like that guy.

This was very entertaining to watch live. Both Daniel and Doug were entertaining to listen to during the game and there are sufficient stakes (not just the money) to make it interesting poker even without the friendly banter.

In my view Daniel had clearly the lion's share of luck of the cards. He missed a lot of value with his small-ball checking on the turn etc., but that's because of the way the cards worked out and I have no way of knowing whether or not that strategy would be overall +EV.

I also had a feeling that Daniel wanted to use a specific strategy in this early high-profile time to set an image, and then maybe switch things up later. Daniel has been coached a lot over the past few weeks (maybe Fedor Holz?) and I would think that a setup strategy like that might be in the mix.

So Doug shoving on the river with Q high and getting expertly picked off by trip 6s is getting coolered? Ok.

I'm hoping they both will agree to sprinkle in a couple more 200 hand live sessions during this 25,000 hand match. It was good entertainment.

Also, why is Polk blasting away with a naked bluff there, everyone knows DNegs is a calling station and pay-off wizard, just wait til you have the goods man!

Yeah that was terrible. But you could see it coming to that point. Doug was starting to lose, was starting to tilt, and you could see he was desperate to look good in front of people who believed he would crush DN.

We've all been there.

Perkins starting to annoy me by insinuating that a 200 hand sample is remotely relevant and can be attributed to his pishy app.

I heard from a trustworthy source that the hybridpoker app is really good.

It has a lot of turn drills for different spots, where you play against the solution. It deals you into a spot and then you choose between check, check back, check/fold or check back with the nuts. The app then evaluates your play and gives you a rating depending on how far or close you were to GTO.
