The sponsor of the bill, Michael Brown, says he will re-introduce it in the City Council but there are a lot of hard feelings about how he went about it a year ago and the lack of any competitive bidding for the license.

Bottom line: online gaming will not be passed any time soon in D.C.

Completely agree. As we have interstate LEGALIZED horse racing wagering in the United States. Politicians who have personal "higher calling" agendas need to be voted out and sent back to the real world to work a real job.

Settle down all. I'm actually taking this as very positive news. Reid/Kyl do not want any state/district to have any online gaming laws in place before they go ahead and introduce their own Federal Bill (hopefully in the Payroll Tax Extension coming up at the end of February).
