I've known many fullblown extroverts who define themselves as introverted. I think it's because they perceive introversion as "deep" or "intellectual" and want a piece of that action.

The true Daniel may be something completely different than what we see, but the Daniel that he projects is most certainly quintessentially extroverted - and it has to be. He's a pillar in the entertainment wing of the poker industry.

(I would wager Hellmuth also would think of himself as introverted, but that is pure speculation.)

I hear what you're saying and am in no way claiming dnegs is or isn't an introvert, but introversion is really only about mental barriers that will not exist when they are in their element, which is his case would 100% include streaming and playing at the table

First let me say I grew up in the poker world thinking DN was the nicest good guy around. His on air persona just seemed like he was an all around nice guy.

But I have read what has been happening lately with his meltdowns and twitter, and have watched much of his livestreams as I trade stocks for a living and have it on in the background.

Never in my life I have seen such an insecure, narcissistic, sensitive man. He is absolutely unable to take criticism of any sort and continually has to brag, more like humble brag, about everything. Notice how many times he says "my wife". My wife my wife my wife. We get it....you're married. But he says it like no one else in the world has a wife like her. Speaking of wife...What he said and did with his wife was fine regarding the boobs, if they were alone....but he did it in front of 10,000 men. I mean, that is just not cool. And he seems very controlling of her overall. I do not see that marriage lasting.

Some other observations.

-Online I see nothing special in his play. I would call it average at best. At best. He plays very standard and can just keep rebuying due to his money which is why he can get semi deep into some tourney's. Now live poker at a table? Yeah he is very good because he is very good at reading people. Online he can't do that obviously. It is more strictly about poker and he is just not that good.

-I 100% believe he is gay or bi. His entire persona screams it.

-He is not on steroids. At least nothing serious. I guess possibly TRT but even that is iffy. He is all of 135 pounds. He looks as tiny as a mouse. I have been a body builder/lifter for a long time and also trained race horses who got a lot of steroids. I know steroids. DN is not on steroids. He just has a low body fat % that accentuates what muscles he does have....and it isn't much.

-Overall he just seems to have a very bad personality. I think it would take all of 5 minutes being around him and I would want to shoot myself. He is so ego driven and so narcissistic that he can probably never be a normal guy. I don't know how his wife puts up with it other than for the money.

His VLOG is set to release at 1pm ET today and the title says PREGNANT in it. Interesting that they'd use YouTube as the way they announce it. Maybe it's just clickbate though.

He made a joke yesterday during the stream about Amanda being barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen, it's probably a reference to that.

There was a guy on the stream who said Daniel had no edge in the 5k 6max (which is probably true) and Daniel told the guy to *** himself for like 10 mins and to check his hendonmob 42 mil of winnings.

DN is very very VERY good at reading people live. And people are kind of intimidated to play him live because of that so they make decisions that they would not if playing online.

Online as I said above he is very very average. Nothing sticks out about his play at all. In fact if anything for him playing in tourneys and for the amount of money he is so he can always rebuy, he plays super tight and conservative.

I own a health company that was started last year and originally I brought in Chad Johnson from the Bachelor series on ABC to be a exec in the company. He has always been kind of a loose cannon but a good guy down deep. Anyway he ran into some trouble with an ex and then started delving into the MyFans world of porn, and I cut him loose faster than you can say GG Poker.

What Daniel is doing and saying is just bizarre. Almost acts as if he on some uppers or coke or something.

He went from a well-liked character to ugly pretty quickly. Not certain why he wants to damage the carefully crafted reputation he built up over all these years.

I think all players have the same arc with him. Enjoy him greatly when they are just getting into poker, then as they learn more about the game and the culture and get over exposed to him, start to dislike him more and more each passing year.

In the '04-'07 or '08 he was hands down my favorite player.

Negreanu has been a condescending spoiled brat his entire career. He just hid it well, mostly because people weren't looking at him under a microscope like we can these days. Just look at his Ming impressions on HSP. He really thinks he can do no wrong.

He certainly thinks:

He is the greatest worlds greatest poker player.
Has the worlds best looking wife.
Knows more about anything than anyone.
Is in better shape than anyone (he is tiny).
He is the world's funniest person ever.

Just has turned into someone you can't stand being around, or he was always that way and just hid it well like you said.

When he complains to me about editing, the main thing he usually brings up is the "gay insinuations".



I think this is very strange considering that the dildos gif (which originally appeared only on 2+2) makes up like 1% of the stuff he's been mocked for. Aside from that there have been zero references to his sexuality from me.

I can only imagine why he fixates on the gay thing in particular and is so incredibly sensitive about it...
