Actually what he's accomplished is probably harder than becoming a doctor or lawyer. While I don't think either of those are exactly "easy", a smart person who is willing to put in the work can most likely achieve those.
A smart person willing to put in the work probably won't achieve what Jungleman has. Is one more important than the other? I'd value being successful in other areas over being a top-notch player like Cates, but in the end you can't just take it away from him. What he did was downright hard, if not almost impossible.
To put it in perspective, you're on a Poker forum, one where thousands of people come and read/post about poker, and you can count on 1 hand the number of people who were successful as Jungleman was.
As for his interview, it wasn't exactly captivating but it wasn't all that terrible either. He's on a webcam for crying out loud. He seems like a happy, mostly-normal guy. Besides that, he's relatively young. It takes a while to develop yourself. He seems fine to me.
He may be quirky, but I think most people who are of that aptitude level usually are, it's what enables them to be so good at something - a level 99% of everyone reading this will never achieve at anything in their entire lives. Including me.
