I heard some rumours that Dan was paying a marketing company for a big portion of instagram subs. Does anyone know anything more about this? Seems like fraud if he is misrepresenting himself and getting sponsors like this.

watching this bill perkins guy talk makes me a lot less upset when im taking money from casuals, i usually feel bad when someone losses his money too fast or stupidly and than leaves. this gonna help.

I despise Dan Bilzerian, but think GG deciding to sponsor him is a terrific decision. He has the ability to introduce online poker to a very large audience that may have never considered playing it for entertainment previously.

The "play with the pros" marketing campaigns that most poker sites employ is an incredibly poor strategy. People like Fedor Holz aren't attracting new players to poker.

Edit: I want to play against people who are fans of Dan Bilzerian. I don't want to play against people who are fans of Fedor Holz.

Is Bilzerian well known outside of US? If he is it's a great signing for ggpoker I assume.

Interesting people take issue with offensive comments from Bilzerian. When gg was stealing money and time from players most were silent. So it's not only Perkins that puts $$ first.

He's very well known with people who follow poker forums like us. I was just wondering if the casuals who do follow him on social media aren't more from north america (where gg isn't allowed), and he's much less known on asia and south america (biggest markets for ggpoker).

For the later issue, several people on those twitter discussions mentioning Bilzerian were silent or excusing the "bumhunter" justifications behind gg bans. I know several did raise the issue here on 2+2 and a couple on twitter. But they were clearly the minority

According to RecreationalPlayer’s post, casual poker players in the UK associate Blitz with poker. I don’t know if that’s true in other markets but I remember that Germany’s biggest newspaper referred to him as “Poker-Playboy”.
