I'm stockpiling canned food only and going to use the labels as ass wipes to save money on toilet paper.

Plans can change. I’m still planning to go but I don’t think I will be

I walked through the supermarket yesterday identifying potential ass wipes since there was no toilet paper. Have to say there are options out there if you get creative.

Amazon Prime looks to still have plenty of the good stuff. Looks like Walmart stopped shipping TP like they did, now you have to pick it up, or get it grocery delivered.

I use WM grocery delivery all the time its great, they use postmates and I see yesterday postmates and instacart now offer a contactless delivery option. So you can select that they drop off at door and go. I wouldn't be ordering any restaurant food right now anyway, screw that, especially with the driver digging in your order and stealing food and touching it.

pitta bread is top of my list at the moment, especially if you split them.

That would be a more appropriate term for ACL (Austin City Limits}. South by Southwest Music is more like hundreds of concerts with 2000 musicians performing. However, South by Southwest is much more than music as the music portion is only like 1/5th of the entire event.

JC how is that even possible?
Typo. Million, not billion.

Just to make sure we are all updated regarding the great Australian toilet paper famine that the 2 women caught fighting in a supermarket over toilet paper have now been charged.

Just loaded up on toilet paper at the 99 Cent Only store. If I run out, and there is no more supplies left in the stores, I'll just do my Number 1 in Suncoast Casino, and my Number 2 at the Red Rock Casino. Each time, I'll bring my fanny pack and do some "to go" on some TP from each place. No problem.
03-07-2020 , 09:50 PM
Their TP is probably more flimsy than what you got at the 99 cent store.

Actually, the TP at the Suncoast Casino feels like newspaper. I'll just do both my Number 1 and Number 2 at the Red Rock Casino. I'll "to go" entire rolls into my fanny pack. Five roundtrips to the car where I'll stock them.

I hope they’ve got enough toilet roll
Here's why:

The head of the Lombardy's intensive care crisis unit says the health system is on the brink of collapse, intensive care being set up in hallways. By March 26 they predict ~18,000 #Covid19 cases in Lombardy, of which ~3,000 will need intensive care.

love the videos from australia -- i'm in seattle and can report that only the yellow label toilet paper remains at the local QFC.

my 0.02 on the WSOP ..

I'm pretty sure that without govt intervention (city or state or fed) that the event will not be cancelled .. --

UNLESS -- the projections of number of players (guessed by early registrations or the first few events) is so low that caesar's cannot make a profit.

--- either way .. i predict that the number of players for all events will be down .. and the main event will see perhaps 1/2 the numbers it saw last year

personally i am not making plans to attend the wsop this year .. and a trip i had been wanting to make to vegas to play poker in april has been cancelled -- i'm not playing poker locally either (i'm in seattle!!) .. until this whole thing blows over.

The toilet paper thing is just bizarre. How much do people use, FFS?

It kind of seems like if stores had endless supplies of everything, you wouldn't see this, but once people see a run on something and shelves emptying, they think they better get what they can before it's too late. The one package it seems they're putting in some stores there sounds like a good idea - sad that they need to, though.

It was a big error mathematically, but a pretty small error otherwise. Something that should have been caught by anyone who gave it a slightly careful read because it made no sense, but **** happens. If you're going to write off news sources for errors like that, you'd have none left soon enough.

This is an intriguing comparison; I'll be interested to see if anyone who has time digs into it more.

I wonder, though...did H1N1 ever cause anything like what's happening in the Kirkland, WA nursing home? I think that's what worries a lot of people - when this gets into a vulnerable population and spreads so quickly. I hear that we've now got a care home here in the Vancouver area where a staff member has been diagnosed positive, and some of the staff work in several care homes, so the effects could be more widespread.

I just ordered up some TP and paper towels from Amazon. I was sitting ok already but why not get it while you can. lol

Or maybe because the mortality rate for H1N1 calculates out to about 0.02%, while COVID-19 has a mortality rate that is running about 50+ times that.

Here are three summary reports from March 7th. The first video focuses on New York & Florida. The second on a watch company in Texas, and the third Australia.

If this problem persists by November, the nightmare scenario of a canceled elections cold come true. SARS got solved in 8 months. Just in time if the CoronaVirus could be solved in the same time frame.
