Maybe you added some political spin or opinion to have it deleted

Wow, closed Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday each week. Masks are required at the table.

Yes, feel free to re-post the link.

This thread will always allow informative links and posts pertaining to Covid and Poker.

My guess is that you might have added some commentary that caused the post to be deleted.

Looks like Bellagio is doing 6 handed. Likely everyone else will follow.

This just came out today and says for Table games and Card games, patrons must wear a face mask unless there is partitions/shields up.

Thanks for posting!

6 handed and barriers from the hygiene challenged. Might venture back in.

So, let's all begin dreaming about WSOP 2021!! Anyone hear any teasers yet? Like will 2021 WSOP be at Rio or the new Strip Convention Center?
I am holding out hope for a completely normal 2021. I;d even like to see it at the Rio again, one last time, for posterity.

Well, who could've seen this coming? What a mystery. Sad to see so many people willing to risk their health and more importantly the health of their families for an hour or two at a casino.

What is the evidence that this is specifically linked to casino opening? Texas is also seeing record new cases, and they don’t even have any legal casinos. Nevada is basically following the same pattern as every other state in the region, regardless of legal gambling options.

I don't know much about the legality of poker in Texas, but there are many poker rooms that are out in the open and very popular, especially in Houston. Rumored to be the best games in the country right now.

Really?

Hint: What is the biggest component of Nevadas economy and does it bring large amounts of people in close contact with each other?

Gila River Hotels & Casinos shuts down after an employee contracts and dies from COVID a week after returning to work. They are trying to reduce the spike in AZ cases and review safety protocols for guests and employees.

Well, I'm not reading anything on a site that's scared of **********, but maybe people have looked at all the evidence indicating that coronaplague is of next to no threat for the vast majority of the population and are assessing said risk accordingly?

Heck, if I was twice the age I am now I'm not going to be sitting at home in a Hughes-esque bubble waiting for this thing to pass over

Sick flex! Do you really think it's either bunker or bust for people who have any concern about the virus?

What difference does it make? The fact the casinos are open means there's a favorable vector for infected employees or customers to spread the disease to others, regardless of where the infection originated.

Yeah Nevada experiencing record amounts of new covid cases. And it's not going to get better as more and more businesses reopen. And the infuriating thing is that it doesn't seem that any of the casinos are really enforcing their supposed new policies. It's dangerous.

Also look at the record number of new cases happening in states like Arizona and Florida and Texas. And increasing hospitalizations.

It's almost like corporations value profits over people.

I was getting "come gamble here" e-mails from Vegas properties almost up until the very minute the shutdown went into effect, and now that they're open again, the solicitation e-mails have resumed.

I'm giving this pandemic a few more weeks before I even consider live poker.

The virus is just running its course. 70% of us will eventually get it anyways. You can run, but you cant hide.
