I used to deal to Chau all the time back before the poker boom. He never said a word, maybe he would make a bad face and mumble a bit but never openly abusive. When I started working the floor my manager at the time, and this is 1999-2000 siad he believe Chau was the best all around player.

That's because most of the nosebleeders today were still in elementary school in 1999. lol.

Heh, in one of Barry's books he mentions how Chau and his wife sacrifice live chickens when they're running bad to change there luck.

5k reno, 2006 chau was on my direct right for a while when we played down to 27 players. heard a few of his stories but mostly i just hated him b/c he called my ai flop cr with AA and effectively busted me (crippled my stack)...i made 26th but man oh man did i wish i just played 50/100 that week or that he had one of the other 2304203809283 hands he could have had there or that he folded his aces (pipe dream) vs. winning that pot and then next day having me bust out 26th. his final words to me in that hand were "i come to gambole. ahhhh, you rearry have set? you have set you win. ahhh. i carr. arr een."

aside from that though, he def has a great personality and i absolutely love his accent.

It was 4am at Bellagio, summer of 2005. I had just got done playing and was on my way out when I stopped by the dice pit. Chau was the only one at his table and the placard said min100 max5000, but Chau obviously got a special deal. He was making 5K passline bets and 5K come bets and taking odds (cant remember if full odds or not). I stood back and watched for a while, not wanting to bother him but being too curious to leave. I watched him burn through 100K before he said to the floor "tell that guy to leave." Before the floor said anything i apologized and left.

So kind of an *******... but i understand not wanting to be watched dropping 100K. hopefully hes nicer when hes not steaming.

hes only kind of a dick if everyone who plays high stakes craps is a dick, because everyone thinks that the people watching them are good/bad luck. ivey probably wouldve said the same thing

ahhhh, was at the B during the ME FT last year, saw him at a carps table solo - there were 5-6 people watching - table had a 'reserved' plaque on top of the chips

so i watched for a few minutes, didn't confirm it, but one guys said he had $35K on the pass line - i did see cranberries all over the board - this was like 11A - i didn't hang around long.

Definitely a nice guy, but i still can't forget how he runner runnered quads vs my set of aces at WSOP 03. Wasn't that huge of a beat i guess, because the money went in preflop, but still hurts even remembering it.
